yikes, how do you go about obtaining one legally there?

I was thinking you were an Aussie originally though, but that sounds pretty harsh anyway.

yupe, It is possible I guess but you'll have to go through a very long process of paper work which is then put under a evalutation by some ministry which I'm unsure of..dude over here you even need a license for a BB gun !!!LOLOLOLOL..

Anyway,I was told that to those who owns guns here would have to report everytime they fire a shot and would go through a yearly gun and ammo inspection..where every single bullet have to be accounted for..

You'll also get the death sentence for Drug trafficking or when caught with a certain amount of drugs that would consider you as a trafficker.

Model 629 with a 4" barrel? Hard to tell the size of the frame the way the picture is taken. Maybe I'll dig up the pic of me in the mountains holding an M16.

SKAGEE: mine is a 260RS Autech version, the best Nissan version has the 25DET and i think they are all auto. They cost a little more than a comparable GTR but the hardest thing is finding a good one.I don't have any good pics yet but I'll definately post some when I do.

nope, this is straight M29, it's got a nickel finish:D

as far as the Ramones shirts go, I couldn't really tell you on that one, most people I've seen that wear them would more then likely be gun shy or just anti gun.

JDM, I'd so take that Ford if I was given an oppurtunity.

show fools here that they should fear the Escort. AWD turbocharged goodness. Perhaps Ford will throw their hat into the ring and bring us the good Focus to compete with the Evo and STi.

undertaker: Am I correct to say that the Autech Stagea are limited in production. Are Stageas common in NZ? I have yet to see one on the roads here, though they did use one (RB25DET) as a pace care for the recent Japan GT in Sepang here. How much HP could the auto transmission take?

Mr1der: Thanks for the compliment..at least someone likes it too...:). I'm afraid the Focus only comes in a front wheel drive , Zetec 1.8 turbo version with tons of torque steer at the moment. Would you know when is the Cosworth version due?

JDM;It took me 8 years to save up for my first GTR and was driving a 1984 Nissan sunny for a while before that..LOLOL..

I don't keep up on them too much being as I can't buy one here:(

you guys should visit General chat some time, it'll give you an oppurtunity to observe Americans in our natural enviroment:D

Fellow Ford owners gotta stick together:)

Mr1der: I'm afarid there's nothing exciting coming out of Ford(uk) nowadays. There's only a handful of Ford Escort Cosworth running around here and one of them is a fullly done up by Graham Goode ( a famous UK tuner that's now moved to working on Subarus..LOL)..pushing 450hp..which in the early 90's was considered as ungodly amount of power!!:).Handling I was told wasn't that good, with alot of typical 4WD understeer but with looks like that , who cares. I was informed that used mint Escort Cosworth were selling at prices above its new purchased price, hence it was a perfect target for car thieves in the UK.

Honestly speaking, I reckon there aren't that many car manufacturer that could match the EVO and WRX in the performance 4WD market nowadays. With the huge selection of aftermarket parts for these cars, I find it hard for someone even like Ford to come in and compete with them. How is it in the States? Out of the two which tends to be more popular?
