Post

Long story short, I'm using the ka that I have left from my car after a sr swap and putting it into my girlfriend's 240. Her's is an automatic and she wants to keep it that way (pity), but mine was a straight drive so I'm having to swap transmissions.

I've noticed that the pilot bushing seems different and bigger on the automatic than it does on the straight drive. Kind of like it sticks out of the crank a little. The FSM refers to it as the pilot bushing for the manual and the pilot converter for the automatic. I've been to the parts stores (but not dealership yet) to get a new pilot "converter" but all they have is the small bronze bushing thats used by the manual.

Does anybody know what the difference is/have any info on this? Thanks.
