pilot bushing question

i am changing the clutch on my 90 hatch and im pretty sure that it still has the auto bushing. it sticks out further than the other engine i have. i found this puller http://www.harborfreight.com/blind-hole ... 95987.html anyone have expierence with this tool pros cons did it work or should i find the one that screws into the bushing and uses grease to push it out. any help would be great would love to get my car back on the road.

you can rent a puller and slide hammer from autzone for like $100, works fine everytime

I've always filled the hole with grease, pack it good with the alignment tool and then slam it with a sledge hammer and hydrologic it out of there.
