i'm doing an engine swap at the same time that i'm doing the manual swap into my 95 240...
I'm not sure if my new engine came from a manual, or an auto, so i'm not sure if the pilot bearing is installed or not. I ordered one from nissan, and they sent me a "main shaft bearing" part # 32272-36910. It's a cylinder about 1 inch long, 1 inch diam, and has needle bearings going around the whole thing.
It won't fit into the hole where the pilot bearing should go. I'm thinking they sent me the wrong part, what are the tell tale things i should look for to see if the pilot bearing is already in the crank and what is one supposed to look like?
thanks
