I AM NOW REPLACING MY CLUTCH ON MY 92 NISSAN 240 AND RAN INTO A PROBLEM, THE SHIFTER SHOOK REALLY BAD STARTING AT LIKE 5,500RPM I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST A REALLY BAD FLYWHEEL, SO I BOUT IT AND A CLUTCH KIT AND JUST BEFORE I COULD PUT IT ALL IN ALL I HAD WAS A BRASS BUSHING AND IT REALLY LOOKS LIKE A BEARING GOES IN THAT SPOT AND NOT THAT SKINNY BUSHING, I DIDNT FIND THE OLD ONE SO THAT WAS MY SHIFTER SHAKING PROBLEM, SOME DUMBASS DIDNT PUT A BEARING IN THERE,... ANYWAYS....IS THERE A BEARING THAT FITS IN MY TRANY OR IS IT JUST ALL BUSHINGS? THANX

If it shakes really bad, it's not that. There's two possibilties. The KA's shifter vibrates at high RPM 5.5k and above. If it wobbles back and forth when you accelerate, then it's the drive shaft. In your case, that's just how it is. Very evident with the B&M short shifter. It's also very loud! For the pilot bushing, it goes into the hole in the flywheel after you pull out the clutch disk alignment tool. Make sure the previous one is pulled out of there.

NOW WAIT I HAVE DONE A FEW CLUTCHES AND THAT IS NORMALLY HOW IT IS DONE BUT THIS FLYWHEEL HOLE IS BIG, THE FLYWHEEL FITS AROUND A BIG METAL CIRCLE AND THE PILOT BEARING DOES NOT PRESS INTO THIS FLYWHEEL, IT PRESSES INTO THE FLYWHEEL MOUNTING PLATE, AND THE SMALL BRASS BUSHING IS NOWHERE NEAR CLOSE TO FITING, IS THERE A BEARING INSTEAD OF A BUSHING FOR THESE TRANSMISSONS, AND ALSO THERE WERE PITTINGS CRACKS DISCOLORATION, AND YOU DONT UNDERSTAND THE SHIFTER WOULD SHAKE LIKE HELL!!!!!!!

Stock replacement is a brass bushing. If it does not fit, they gave you the wrong one. If it came with the kit, you need to find out why it doesn't fit in the end of the crank. Be sure to check its fitment over the transmission input shaft before you go through the trouble of installing it.
