Just wondering if anyone else's pillow ball front upper mounts make noise? When i turn my wheel to the right, i hear this kind of groaning, rubbing sound. It's only when I turn my wheel to the right though. If it's not my mounts, could it be the tie rod end for the steering maybe? Nothing shakes at speed, or acts weird, just tired of everyone asking if my car is going to die on me ;-)

btw they are Tein upper mounts

I've had no problems whatsoever withe my tein flex system. I did notice that my sway bar links make a horrible creaking when I apply the brakes, though. Time to upgrade!

Are you positive it's the upper mount creaking? Did you have a friend turn the wheel from lock to lock while handling the mount to feel/listen for the creeking noise?

How old are the upper mounts? They can't be too old... Is the rest of the suspension torqued to spec and are there any worn or OEM parts or bushings still on the front end? Is there ever a time when you don't hear the noise? ie: is it an intermittant noise/problem, or a constant noise?

it's pretty constant, worse in the mornings when its colder. I re-greased my steering tie rod end on that side because the rubber seal is cracked, but that wasn't the culprit. when i jack the front end up and turn the wheel from lock to lock, nothing makes noise, its only when the car is on the ground. Everything is torqued to spec, i have a factory service manual and am a torque nazi when it comes to my car. I've had the mounts since about march of this year, so they arn't too old. I havn't had a friend turn the wheel while I check for vibration yet, i'll try to do that today.
