I definitely will. It's funny I originally bought the car a couple years back when I was flipping cars to make money off of. It had the wheels, alarm, and exhaust when I bought it for $1300. Ended up having a bhg (blown headgasket.. I guess that's more common on the mk3 Supra forums haha) and so I picked up a cheap wrecked 240 with the twin cam and 5spd as a donor. My good friend/mechanic did the swapping and converting. It was such a blast to drive even with the lack of power and I decided to hang onto it. I've owned a lot of different cars since I was 16 (DOHC vtec Del Sol, 3000gt, Laser Turbo, 2 mk3 Supra turbos, Preludes, Civics, Mercedes 300SD Turbo Diesel, 300zx twin turbos, etc.) I know I don't need to tell you guys but the 240 is one of the most fun cars I've driven (along with the Z32 300zx twin turbos of course). I'll definitely be around and posting pics and info on the swap when it comes time.Driftless240 wrote:Dood That sounds absolutely awesome. Great luck with that and do what Sandy Did with her Rb, Do a continuous check in on how it goes with pix, ppl here love pix. Welcoem to NICO and glad to see you checking in so soon. Enjoi your stay!!
Well, to start I'm just going to run s14 SE wheels with R-compound rubber. If at some point it becomes vitally important that I spend a bunch of cash on some JDM-tyte hoops, that'll change. I may still hold out for some 350z track wheels and have them custom-painted. I don't know yet.Veriest1 wrote:Hey Repo, have you decided on what kind of wheel you're going to run?
Good choices. I like the s14 se wheels on s13's much better than those other ones you posted pics of. Of course 350z track wheels are nice too. Definatly stay lightwieght. No need for the bling bling.repo man wrote:Well, to start I'm just going to run s14 SE wheels with R-compound rubber. I want to stay light. My wife's personal trainer is dropping serious coin on a new Roush Mustang. I want to be able to shut him down with my pieced-together 240 beater. He's only going to have the stock hp rating. He spent about an extra 7k on a body kit, 20" wheels (heavy) and racing stripes and such. Poseur.
I kinda like those wheels, but they look better in person. I don't like the tire size for the s13 however since it is obviously too large. I'm thinking once I burn through the no-so-street-legal tires that I already have, I'll put the Falken RT-615 on there and roll with that.Veriest1 wrote:

I'll take your word for it. They definatly look better than a lot of wheels I've seen.repo man wrote:I kinda like those wheels, but they look better in person.
I figure with 300rwhp and traction I shouldn't have a problem smoking a loaded up GT with 35lb wheels. I'm not racing him with a stock SR. No way.Veriest1 wrote:
BTW I want vids of you owning that Mustang.
I wish my car looked like that. Nice paint and it looks like it has very few dings.nelson8708 wrote:Ex-pignose.......Old bumper was damaged.....still looking for a new one.
Do you really think his wheels will be 35 lbs? Man that's heavier than my cheesy wheels. Or do you mean 35 lbs with tires? That would be more reasonable but I can't see it happening with 20's.repo man wrote:I figure with 300rwhp and traction I shouldn't have a problem smoking a loaded up GT with 35lb wheels. I wouldn't doubt the wheels being 35lbs. Maybe not that heavy, but heavy nonetheless. I don't have an LSD yet as my car is still in the process of being built. Any dynamite suggestions?Veriest1 wrote:

What kind of LSD are you running? Are you going to take the spare and such out?
I highly reccomend dynamite that isn't sweaty. I've heard sweaty dynamite is teh suck.repo man wrote:I wouldn't doubt the wheels being 35lbs. Maybe not that heavy, but heavy nonetheless. I don't have an LSD yet as my car is still in the process of being built. Any dynamite suggestions?
