Pignose bumper question

is the pignose bumper an aftermarket accesory or does it come with some of the 240's stock. if so which 240's came with it and how rare. what's the deal with them?

"Pignose" is the nickname given to the first 240sx's in '89 and '90. It's not aftermarket, its just called that because of the two holes in the front bumper kind of under and in between the headlights. In the little pic I got off Google you can see them. These 240's had the KA24E.

so it's pretty much the single overheard cam engines also came with the pignose bumpers?

Yep, '89 and '90 are the pignose KA24E (sohc) and '91-up are KA24DE (dohc).

There was no '88.

The 240sx (US) was made from '89-'98.
