Hey everyone. i sit here on nico almost everyday and read posts and search for things i can fix on my car. i just never post unless i have to (dont hate on low post count). this is my first car so i dont know boat loads like you all. no flaming plox.

This is my 89 piggy, everything is still stock...

well one morning i woke up and walked out to my 240. i found this on my driver side QP.

SOMEONE SHOT MY PIGGY WITH A BB GUN . i have no clue on how to fix this. there is a BB like crater in the QP.

I know this is going be a 2 in 1 thread but uh bare with me. i decided to replace my stock intake since it cracked all the way around. i bought a SOCH injen intake off craigslist. when i took off the box i noticed a plug that plugged up into it. i searched and i guess people call it the pigtail? no clue. i just need to know what to do with this plug.dont mind the missing screw. it fell as i held it up to take a picture of it.Thanks.

there should be somewhere to put it just behin where the new filter is.if not just tuck it behind the air filter so it will read the temp of the air going into the engine

thats the thing. i bought just the tubing. i bought a K&N air filter and a maf adaptor but there's nothing i can screw the IAT into. i also tried looking for a maf adaptor where you can plug the IAT into but no luck.

nice car man. sorry to hear about the bb incident (no pun intended)

i did however have the same thing happen to one of my trucks and found that there is really no "quick" fixing it......... and whats worse is tat it will eventually start to flake more and more of the paint unless you chip away all the loose paint thats around it now. otherwise moisture will start to collect around the peeling edges.

best way to ease the pain is to chip away at the loose paint, then take a pencil with a new eraser on top, grab some 100 grit sand paper, hole punch one hole out of the sand paper, glue the sand paper dot on the eraser from the pencil and lightly rub it against the damaged area..... once its sanded down, find some touch up paint and fill it in.......... wont be the prettiest but cheaper and easier than taking it to some body shop

i think i might just slap a breather on the AVI and leave the IAT hanging for now until, i find a injen maf adapt. anyone have problems with leaving the IAT sensor out?

Well do what I did, I put the little sensor in the air filter I got a maf adapter and running an AEM dryflow air filter, before I put the filter I put the sensor In where the filter connects to the adapter I folded the wire so it would stand up in the adapter to let the air pass through then I put the filter on and tightend the clamp, good to go, if you don't get how I did it I'll take a pic tomorrow to show you

Also you can either go to wal-mart right there off of I80 it should be in the ricer section (not a crack at you, I call that section that) I think its like 7 bucks or your local auto zone or kragen should have it
