I cann't decide which to use. I know there is alot of discussion of boost boys hookup with sds, but I've been eyeing the Greddy PRofec e-01. I am hoping for a reliable 240hp to the wheels on a daily driver. I'm going to be using a HKS GT2535, large fmic, 444 injectors, walbro fuel pump. What do you guys think?

I think you mean the e-manage. The profec e-01 is a boost controller.

the e01 can act as a controller for the emanage system tho...I don't think the hassle of sds would justify its cost in your case.might wanna step up to 550 cc injectors, too...

Quote »I don't think the hassle of sds would justify its cost in your case.[/quote] Why wouldn't it? The system basically pays for itself over time and tuneability is unbelievable. People want to know what works and what's reliable, not stories about a system that not a member has in their car. Hey "eurosx" I would do some more searching about greddy's equipment and your application because there are so many options besides an SDS, Haltech or greddy that can help you with your endeavours.

Well, the added "hassle" I am referring to is based on the fact that you yourself (in another post) say that until you get it tuned right its not going to be able to really do as much. And tuning it would mean some dyno time, which adds considerably to the cost. It also takes experience and skill to judge what changes to make to acheive a given result. Also, in another post you described how you have to mount the magnetic trigger for the crank, which also sounds like a pain. For the modest HP goals he has in mind, I think a piggyback or tuned ECU would help him up the fuel and keep things under control without having to go through all the extra. Now I know you sell those standalones and I'm not trying to cut into your sales, but for what you charge for one of those, there are a LOT of other options, especially if you just don't need that much flexibility.

I'm trying to feel everyone out about what everyone is using. All imputs are welcome. I eventully will increase the boost in a later stage of the project, when I can afford the proper internals for a rebuild. My max goal will be about 300 to the wheel but that is much later in time.

well, if you are planning on buliding up later, then look at your options, and a stand alone might make a lot more sense. The initial cash and labor outlay makes more sense if you compare it to continually upgrading to other system as your plan grows.

with only a safc + z32 mas + 444s will get you comfortably over 300whp.I'd like a cheap datalogger or some sorta gadget, so I can peep at nissan ecu knock sensor / timing activity. I would think its very similiar to turbo mitsubishis and those guys are making crazy power this way without blowing up.When you wanna sharpen its claws by wringing more power outta your combination, control over timing is the key for getting you closer to the edge. Better *fully* understand how this stuff works or find a tuner.... or Emanage = Edamage if u don't, as I've heard it called.Emanage had some timing control issues. I think stu? on the uk forums got a patch to fix that, but haven't heard any feedback on his results from timing adjustments. First the safc route, then I'm gonna try a $300 piggyback that does both fuel and timing.I'd go standalone if I was looking for 450+ whp. On my starion, I will
