I just put a sr20 in a s13 and drove it for the first time. The car ran great untill i got on it. I hit the gas in first shifted at 5000rpm in to second the car started to go then then bogged and started runing rich. Now the car runs so bad It was hard to git home. Is it the maf?

A big boost leak will make it run bad all around. It will have a hard time idling since the maf will be detecting a grossly different amount of air, whether more or less, than is actually making it to the engine.

-boost leak-o2 sensor gone/crapped out-fuel pressure regulator stuck-lack of good grounds-random unplugged plug

I put this in what I think is the order of decreasing likeliness.

Yeah it can be many things, check the ones you can check without having to buy stuff, because then you may end up buying a grip of parts you don't need.

Unplug o2 sensor, see if anything changes; look for boost leaks VERY CAREFULLY especially if you use any "accordian" style tubes that can crack in the grooves and be hard to see; check for continuity w/ a dmm, look for visual problems, check fuel pressure. First pull codes, but that's gimme.

Yeah, that coolant temp sensor got me too. But it does sound more like a boost leak.

I found the problem. It was a boost leak. The car runs great now. I have put about 200 miles on it with no problems. Thanks for your help.
