So when I was cleaning the old gasket off the transmission to put in my B&M, an 1" piece of it dropped into the transmission and I wasn't able to fish it out.

Since it is just paper gasket it should not harm any of the gears, but are there any internal oil lines to get clogged up by the bits of gasket?? I am changing the fluid on Tuesday, putting in some redline oil. Let me know what you think.

since its a manul trans there are no lines to worry about. the gears just sit in a bucket of oil so to speak. if the gasket material got in the linkage its self it may make it not go into gear with quite the same feal if you know what mean. i hardly think that it would cause and kind of problem, the gears would easily grind it right up and it should come out when you drain it for the synthetic. you should be fine
