i've read the faq on how to rid my car of this governor but it did not entirely work. they say to snip the yellow wire w/ the green stripe, the 8th one down on the left of the ECU. i did that and took her for a run. it now tops out some where around 120. it used to be about 114. it sort of worked but i still have about 2k to go before she tacks out in 5th gear. any info is greatly appreciated. thanks

unplug last two sensors from transmission. (two most rearward) i believe called (O.D. and Top position). they tell the comp ur in 4th and 5th gear. get rid of that, no more limiter....

just unplug. if not working the way you want then plug back in. no harm.

cutting wires, p.i.t.a. to fix back.

also heard of putting a switch in line with one of the sensors so that it could be done from the captains chair on the fly. i think it was the speed sensor.

if it's a KA, go get yourself an AUTOMATIC ECU. They don't have speed governors. I know for the S13s, and obd1 s14s, you can just plug the new auto ECU in, and VIOLA! no speed governor!

I've been using an auto ecu for the last five months, racing, regular driving, no problems. Way better than cutting wires. Check your local junk yards. Last I heard, they fit down pants pretty easy!! :D (er...I mean....):rolleyes
