The day before I got backed into, I finally had the chance to go out and take some pictures. I was supposed to do this a long time ago, too. Leading up to the shoot, I put two coats of Liquid Glass on it for a couple of reasons. It's an acrylic so hopefully it will provide a harder shell for the paint, as mine likes to chip. I also noticed the swirl marks I put in in my last wax job were gone. And also because its supposed to work really well and I will attest to that. It doesn't give the wet look, but does it produce a shine! Here are some preliminary pics, I need to put them through Photoshop still. Enjoy.

*Edit* Have them all through Photoshop and fixed my screw ups that I posted earlier. I won't post them all, but its so hard to choose which ones. If you want to look at all of them, you can visit the album at http://s188.photobucket.com/al...02008/

Love the red. You need to get clearcorners and some big rims and it will look even hotter.

Thanks G_whizz. I try and keep it as clean as I can...all done by hand by me.

I was told to come up with a name for it, after some deliberations I've decided on St. G (Saint G).

Thanks Rivalry. I've always been good at photographing objects and landscapes. People on the other hand, I think I'm horrid at.

I took them in Marquette, MI. All of the lake pictures are Lake Superior in various spots around town--Lower and Upper Harbor, Presque Isle. Presque Isle is one of the city's drive around nature/recreation park, has a lot of cool scenery that I can't get the car into (cliffs and what not). In that cove, instead of going down to the water, you can go up on the rock and dive in.

Nice shots...

I like red cars, and I think I know why the cops stick to them like hot glue...

Notice around your car, it is green, the oposite of red, I think the color contrast is what catches their eye!!!

Nice, but I agree, you need some clear corner lights, and some wheels, but A1 shootin'

As for wheels, these are ones I've been thinking about.

*edit* It didn't come out right for some reason. Currently redoing it.

Alright, apparently GIFs don't work as well or its something with the location. Here are the links instead and you'll have to go to it yourself.

Thoughts/opinions?

SEXY TIME!

i say NEGATIVE to the gold rims. these arent Subarus, nor are they civics for that matter. If it were me, id go with the m45 sports, OR some nice BBS wheels.

also, very nice pics. maybe one day, ill venture to bring lola up to det-wah for a bit of shopping, and some pics will be in order.

I know they aren't Subs or Civics and I'm usually not a fan of wheels that aren't silver or chrome, but these ones kinda struck me with like a sunset kinda look. The plate is bent because, well, I'm not sure. One day I noticed it and I was like how in the hell does that happen? I was going to straighten it out with a hammer before I went out but I didn't have the special allen wrench with me.

i dont think the gold would work well with yuor car's color. id stick with silver wheels and stay away from chrome. what about the 03-04 graphite 18in g35 coupe wheels? those would be sex.

U must have been born AFTER the 80s

I don't personally like gold rims - but they would look fine on his car. It would look better if he had the blonde interior - but I think classy set of gold or bronze wheels could work.

In general I prefer to see the rims matched or complimenting the interior color - like matching your shoes to your belt. But the gold could be a nice departure - done right.

Good Luck

well, 1985, so maybe? that being said, ive always been too mature, so maybe the 1950s would be more appropriate. Get off my lawn!

the stock ones are too small. the G is a big girl, so she needs big shoes in order to dance.

The 17s are light so you get to go faster. Less unsprung weight and what not. I hate big rims on Gs. You need no bigger then 18. If you want to go a little wider that is a different story.

depends on the rim really. Some times it can be like 10lbs a rim. Some rims manufacture to be light, Others just care about looks.

The funny thing is is that I've never been stopped in my G like I did in my red Monte. For some reason, that car was a major target. I've thought I was going to get pulled over several times when cops did brake checks as they passed me...musta just been lookin, I mean it is St. G, the patron saint of sex now. Otherwise they just flash their spots at me to slow down.

The 17" wheels on the 350Z I found out to be 23 and 24 lbs, however they're different from the G's 17s. There's also the 350Z 18" track wheels. Same 6-spoke design at 18 lbs a piece, but definitely will be lighter.

Don't really know of any places to shoot around Detroit. There has to be some places around the river. But I can tell you a couple of places to shop. I've shot in Ann Arbor before, there's some good spots there.
