Consider this: a nationwide chain of tire/wheel dealers isn't empowered by Enkei to make a judgement call on a broken wheel.
Manufacturers usually arrange a pre-set amount of credit with dealers to allow for a reasonable amount of warranteed/broken/cracked/pinhole-leaking wheels. This allows the dealer to look at the wheel, see an unusual problem, and take care of the customer right then and there. This would not only get you up and running immediately, but also show you that their business revolves around you, the customer.
I'll bet you feel like you are at the mercy of Enkei, as you wait and see if the wheel is covered under structural warranty.....when in truth it is them that should be answering to you, the guy with his checkbook open. It confuses me to no end, why such a large retailer with such a large nationwide market share and high profile, still make a guy sit on his hands and wait.
Discount has the leverage to make such a deal happen, and THEN worry about how the wheel broke.
