Try G35...I don't think the new skylines are classed as an R anymore...could be wrong though.

There's no such thing as an R35. The G35 here is the exact same as the normal Skyline in Japan except for sitting on the opposite side of the car and badging. The car people are talking about so much is a possible GT-R in the USA. As far as anyone knows if they do bring it over it will not have a Skyline badge on it just simple GT-R badging on it.

I sat in one in SEMA, haha. They're pretty sick. Has anyone read the newest issue of Sport Compact Car, it looks like they will be releasing it in 2007 in the U.S.??? I didn't read it, but i saw the cover.

Ohh and the guys of RB motoring were very kind and let me jump in this little ride. To bad i only have the pics on a disk at home.

The G35 is sick, but the R33 is awesome.

not to start this whole debate all over again but i think the car they tested at the 'ring is probably prity close to what it will look like. Why would the GTR look extreamly different from the G35 Skyline...it wouldnt make sence. it would be like the BNR34 and the ER34

I have that issue. It should coming to the US, considering the car pictured is wearing Infiniti badges, not Nissan, and is left hand drive. The magazine also says that Nissan head Carlos Ghosn promised it would be sent over. They also said it will look like the prototype but with a bigger air dam and the round tail lights from skylines. That last part is just their predictions though.

Its supposed to have over 400hp. I think its a variation on the 350z/g35 platform.

what i heard is that the skyline version is a sedan, and that the R35 is gonna be the follower of the R34, its based on the G35.....but with round taillights like liquidus said.

I hate to say it, but a G35 just isn't a Skyline to me. I just want be able to think of those as a GT-R.

To me if it dosen't have an inline 6 TT and AWD. It's not a skyline.V6 is for Fairladys.I6 is for Skylines.

you need to do a little more research on the Skyline. they have been w/o turbos and AWD for as long as they have been made.

Ya, ya n/a skylines with rwd. But they still don't use a v6.I feel that the inline motor allows you to make a cleaner presentation.with a V motor, the cool turbo is burried underneath and the engine compartment. And it gets cramped to work in there.

One things for sure the GT-R will continue to be Nissan's bad-*** and it will conintinue as always, with 2 and 4 door versions and a GT-R with all-wheel drive, some people speculate that it will have ALTESSA ET-S, and some poele think that Nissan will cheap out on the greatest all wheel drive system ever and put some other AWD system in due to nissans hurtin money situation. It is promised to be in 2007, most likely 400HP AWD, called the Infiniti GT-R. And I think that aston martin looking picture looks kinda like an S16 concept Photo-chopped. But in my opinion they should and probably will continue to make the silvia family great one day. 1964 was the first silvia, and i think 63 the first skyline, the first GT-R skyline was in 76 I think, but not sure, hope this helps.

I tell you what:I'll rock some old $hit and wait for the "Real GTR" to show up in 07-08.This should be a car worth getting brand new.
