it started as a giant hole where my pool use to be :Dthen I started the build up in july then after a while it started to look like that and then and then around october it was looking like thatand then I got the interior finished up with my friend (thats his integra by the way) it took me 5 months to complete the build by myself

and then the project started ... and then I learned how stupid quebecois patch up rust :Dthe engine is now out and the driver side floor completely cut out and the next step is to buy a front clip to restore the front end and swap a few things

a few new pictures its almost all dissasembled, working a a stand to be able to rotate the whole body to work under at ease... got a lot of work to do....

now a few parts

I'll put some updates soon as I tear down the rest of the car and front end donor

some tiny tiny updates, the university kept me busy so I only had time to drill the spot welds on both fender aprons and take out the cowlbut got a week off next week so there might be some more updates!stay tuned!received a few upgrades too n62 maf cosmo racing short shiftertook out the windshield (needs replacement)braced the front end to take out the fender apron assembliestook the clutch fan off for weight reduction as well as an upgrade to electric fans and AC compressor so about 20 pounds less there

Thats awesome, I wish I had a dedicated shop area to work on my car. It probably makes things so much easier, convienient, and organized. Good work man, keep it up...

Awesome shop build pics....I'd have to agree with one of those comments above, and say I'd ditch that sheel and find a rust free one.....save you a ton of headaches in the future.. Rust never leaves once it there, no matter what you cut out and replace....car will just fall apart somewhere else.

I'm gonna agree thats a ton of rust, a lot of work ahead. I would try to work from a cleaner start. But I like your plans so far.

Just gotta wait for my engine to go and hopefully I'll jump on the SR bandwagon. For now I just gotta save my money which isn't goin so good, LOL.

What are ur total plans for the car? Good luck with the rust!

Open the hood and u'll think otherwise. Oil leaks, needs a new clutch, 3rd gear grinds. Sounds to me like its time for a new engine and transmission.

the thing about the rust is that I live in Canada and since I don't want to go RHD and already had the car I'm fixing it all... there is no way its coming back before 5-10 years if you do it the right way as for the CA18DET yes I wanted one from the beginning to shut up people that pray to the SR20DET and since the engine was in the car I tryied it tested the compression and it as a brand new SPEC clutch so no complaint there.... anyway I wont be patching rust... thats why I got the half front clip... I'll drill the spot welds and replace the entire panels... btw I got it for 50$ so...the camera is an old Canon at-1 with telephoto as for the rust trust me with the JDM tax in Quebec you won't find one cleaner than this under 5000 CAN$ and since I don't want to have a RHD all made up car ... that's just the way it goes

Looks good. The rust is something that is going to be more and more of and issue with 240s. Especially in the North. I know there are some 240s around that have no rust, but the money they want for them sometimes is ridiculous.

These people that are putting down rusting cars evidently don't realize the trouble some people will go through to fix classic cars from the sixties and earlier. They will practically replace all the metal sometimes. I know 240s aren't in the classic car category, and I know they don't command the money those cars do, but value is what you want, and what you're willing to put into the car.

I love the work you're doing, keep it up.

Am I seeing things, or is that a new OEM frame rail next to that bumper support?
