Hello everyone.

I have been using your forums for research for some time now. I finally found a car that fit all of my criteria. It is a 2006 M45 sport with the aero package and 26,000 miles. It has every option except for the rear DVD. The only aftermarket items, for now, are the tint and the DVD hack.

Hope you enjoy.

de-lic-ious! I always get warned against choosing a black car, but the M looks amazing in black! My current car is black and I have to deal wth all the issues that go along with that(pollen, dirt, swirl marks, etc.). I had decided to get the M in white or silver, maybe gray, but your car and cars like yours are pulling me back to the Darkside!

Beautiful car! I love the body kit... and like hawkfan said, the M in black is breathtaking.

Where did you get it and for how much?

Im not worthy. That is the cleanest black car I've ever seen. Congrats on the "new" car.

Did you get it detailed after purchase or was it like that when for sale?

I'm showing your car to the next company that details my ride and tell them I want it just like that.

Thanks for all of the kind words.

I had the car shipped to me from California. I paid about $29,000 for the car, that included the dvd hack and the front license plate holes filled and repainted. Considering the mileage, options and condition I feel I did pretty well.

The car was detailed before I got it. I have been using Meguiars Ultimate Quik Detailer with a microfiber towel after washing the car and it really does a nice job.

I completely agree, I think it changes the entire look of the car. A guy parked next to me at work the other day in a 2007 M45 sport without the aero kit and they looked like 2 different cars.

I am toying around with the idea of an eibach pro kit and 20mm or 25mm spacers. I think that will make it sit like an M series BMW or an AMG. Thoughts?

That was a great find!! You do very well! For $29,000.00, there would be no complaints for a 3yr aged "new" car that clean! The previous owner must have taken pride in his ride as well. I found that many owners did not take very good care of their cars in their previous ownership. The exterior conditions I seen told the story. I finally found mine after two months of searching. I initially wanted an 06' Sport M45, but none were clean enough for me to buy. I finally stumbled upon a 2007 M45 (not Sport), but it was the color combos I wanted (Platinum Graphite exterior & Black interior), and it was clean besides a small 1/2 in. scratch a two very small rock chips (one on hood and one on pass. fender). Though the car has no dents or dings anywhere! It had 18,200mi on it, Aero pkg, chromed 18" OEM wheels, and tech and advanced tech pkg. After I drove it, I was sold! It took some dealing to get it from $36,995.00 down to $36,000 out-the-door. I tried and tried to get them to budge on the price a bit more, but had no luck! At the end I tacked on an additional $1,750.00 for the Elite service plan. No buyers remorse here, as when I get into my M45, the luxury and power reminds me what I paid for.I might have paid premium for mine, but the market in the Houston area is still strong and in high demand and short supply of M45's.

I agree, the Aero pkg really makes these cars more refined! I wouldn't have it any other way!Beautiful Black M45 man!

Welcome to NICO!

Very, very nice car indeed!

Please avoid the spacers, IMHO. For me, the look of the 19" Sport wheels and the way they fit in the well are excellent.

Spacers add unnecessary weight and the look would become too oddball in my opinion. Buying different wheels is an extra expense too ... I have better ways to spend my money!

The clearance from the center of the front lip to the garage floor is 7 3/4". I don't know the before measurement, just that after.

Hope that helps

SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET! Man that black is awesome and you did a wonderful job on the detailing. Like the aero kit too. How much lower do you think your clearance is over stock. I have been thinking about the aero kit, but am concerned how much ground clearance I will lose.

there is not much difference with or without Aero Kit at all...unless you get the after market bodykits or lowering your car. I just got aero kit installed yesterday and I'm loving it...but the wheel gap is bothering the hell out of me...but I'm not going to drop the car anymore.

yeah, the OEM lip kit almost just covers up the body and does not really extend it down. Although subtle it makes a big diff...

the wheel gap sucks man... that is one of the reasons as to why I am on coilovers...

I measued the clearance of the before Aero kit clearance and it matches Indy Golfers after aero kit measurement of 7 3/4"

I scraped bottom today for the first time on the front lip. Dang that makes you mad. What scares me the most is backing into a curb and hitting my tailpipes

So this aero kit is the one that you can order off the infinitipartsusa website? I want to be as good looking as the rest of you.

Indy Golfer,

First, congrats. When you look at the car...the only thought that can come to your mind is, "that is so bad-***." Seriously.

I like it a lot, so much so that I own the identical car, minus the tints.

Dont take it through an automatic carwash though: zerothread?id=389610

And the car is so understated, and sublime, and smooth, and hidden, and absolutely ridiculous. Speed is something that belongs to cars that aren't as good. In this car, there is no speed. All you understand is that you want to move from this point right here, to over there. "There" can be 10 feet, or a mile down the road, or into traffic, or to that intersecting highway right there, and no effort is required to accomplish any of those things. You put your foot down and the car becomes "there".

Ditto on the car wash. The one just down the street from Indy Golfer and I uses muriatic acid in their wands the attendants spray your car with before entering!

When I use the manual stalls you can smell the rotten egg odor.

The last time I was that close to muriatic acid I was etching concrete...YIKES!

The local news even broke a story about it last year.

Hey Kevin, is that Mikes you are referring to? I hope that is just the auto side and not the manual stalls.
