Some people requested pictures of my car, so I took a couple this weekend when I was putting on the new wheels. I know my car is a raging hunk of nastiness right now, but it's a work in progress. It'll be all pretty by summer. I need to pull the fenders a bit more and lower it before it goes in for an alignment on Tuesday.

For those interested in the wheels, they're sportmax 002 - 16x8 0 offset. The old wheels were sportmax 962, 17x9 +35 and I was running 20mm spacers (both of which are for sale now). I won't have pictures of these on my vert until I get the old computer working.

If anyone has questions or anything, just ask.

Looking good for sure. Couple quick ?'s? Why'd you move from 17's back to 16's? Why'd you need to use spacers with the 962's? What color are the 962's?

Guess that'll do for now. Thanks.

My reasons:The 962's weigh around 27 lbs each. The 002 weigh just under 16 lbs each. That, and a local guy had an almost new set of 16" tires he sold me for an excellent price.

The 17x9 962s (I was running these front and rear) have a +35mm offset. Most people are running lower for the flush look. In addition, I had to run the spacers or the wheels wouldn't clear my coilovers.

And lastly, the 962s were a dark graphite with a polished lip. Here's a couple of pictures of them on my old hatch for comparison:

Still hate you Bragelman. Never thought I'd see a sportmax wheel I liked. Wish I had a use for the 962s, but too big for a DD for me.

You remove the stock wing? or was something else on it?

I removed it. Right now I just have some plugs filling the holes. It'll be filled in when it's painted, hopefully in March.

Looks good so far. It reminds me of madcowvert's ride. Without the OEM spoiler, the vert doesn't look bad at all. IMO, it doesn't even need a kit. All it needs is a fresh coat of white paint and a Xenon lip.

Can't wait to see the finished product

Xenon lip is for chuki bumper, not silvia. You know...

sooo hot! even though it's a silvia panda vert.

those 002's look really nice. i have a set of staggered 962's that were on the vert before the run-in with bambi. they are pretty beefy, but my wifeand i love the look. the fronts needed a deeper offset though... maybe a spacer would help with the flusheeeshee...ness ( ) of the fronts.

anyways, thanks for the pictures and keep us posted.

I like the 962s a lot better looks wise. I'm still getting used to the 002s. I think it'll help when I lower it more and pull fenders. That's work for tomorrow. I'll have to reroute the front wiring harnesses now though.

And Acecool, I'm selling the 962s and spacers. I'll be posting them up for sale some time this week, along with a full black leather interior.
