Very clean 86' good find. What did it set you back? the engine compartment was for sure cleaned and well kept. Great score to find a Z31 that clean.

Hopefully mother rust isn't to be found anywhere on the car. You should open up the back and remove your spare tire. Check there to see if it is rust free. I am an original owner and took exceptional care of my 84' since new, I never lived anywhere that had bad weather and that box was completely rusted out. I had it chopped out and replaced years ago.

Great find.

Yes, there is little rust but I plan on getting the car painted (same color of course). The paint is not perfect. The hood is fading along with rock chips, chips in the front bottom and front corners, There is small cancer starting on the left rear wheelwell. The left skirt needs to be resprayed. Minor scratches are also all over too, Pictures cannot get them. It was hit before in the right front, not bad though. But nothing major is wrong with the car. The A/C needs to be recharged. Aftermarket stereo (old Pioneer), I would like to find a factory stereo just to have. I bought the car in early June for $3000 with 66,000 miles, everything is solid though, clutch is good, etc. The security system doesn't work though as I stated in a previous thread, I can't find out why. Anything else wanted to know, just ask. Thanks.

Sorry for the self-reply. I was bummed the first day I got it though, in the picture with the z32, some kid backed into the right rear, he had a suspended license and was under age (this was at 3:00 AM). He was lucky I didn't kill him. I called the cops and got a police report and I am getting money to fix it. The damage isn't bad but still, that sucks big time. Anyone else would be raged too. Well just thought I'd share that.

Looks to be in pretty good shape, nice find. After bodywork, paint, and fixing the security system; what are the plans?

This reminds my of mine. I bought mine in May. Cept your engine bay is much cleaner, mine's filled with gunk. I can't wait to get it simplified and cleaned out.

Thanks, I was actually thinking about getting it restored (Theres not really much, but it won't hurt ). I'll drop it maybe an inch or inch and a half and I'm looking for the oh so rare mesh wheels, I'm thinking either gold with a chrome lip or just sliver all around nothing big. Maybe just 15's or 16's becuase I don't think 14's would look good. Last, I would probably take the side trim off. I seen a few with the trim off and actually looks good!

those are less common that most of the other wheel styles but not realy desirable as they are 15x6.5 available only in 86 ( I'm sure z bum will correct me if I'm wrong), the 16x7's are more sought after but not rare

I don't know, they are not mine. The site said that they were Riken. I prefer the kind that have the mesh around the lugs instead of a solid piece.

When your getting the repairs done have them look around the rear for mother rust....I had a rear-ender a few years back and the shop found quite a few rust pockets that they cut out and repaired to end rust once and for all.

Nice!

Aah, somehow I got it in my mind that you were talking about an OE wheel. Anyway, there is a guy in Tampa selling a set of those wheels, but they are expensive (as OG wheels often are).
