Alright I finally got around to uploading some pictures for you guys from the october 29th event. I was pretty much the worst person there, but I had a good time. It was my first drift event, and I did get alot better by the end of the day, had a blast, and managed not to blow up my car. All in all a great day.

I wasn't making very large amounts of smoke because I wasn't going WOT as I wanted to be able to make the drive back home. These pictures are all of the same corner, a large U that I has having issues with. My car was understeering pretty bad, and If I did get the *** out, I kept spinning it. The pictures are pretty unspectacular but whatever.

YAY understeer!

I wasn't wearing down my tires very quickly which upset me because I brought so many, so I wasn't being very nice to them. Second gear burnout after spinning.

Turning around after spinning out again. I am sure people got tired or waiting for my dumbass to get off the track.

Red hatch that was ripping it up.

Looking hot in the speed-racer helmet.

Checking coolant after my car started to get a little hotter than usual.

Get rid of those ES100's...worst damn 'performance' tire I've ever used.

Haha well yeah. I had even worse tires mounted on the rear.

Anand-I hope to make it up there, but have been very busy with school. Plus, 75 dollars is not cheap. Will probably end up going anyways.

No. Im running an r32 vlsd. It was hooking up great. Why do you ask? I am not countersteering in those that you mention. That is me sucking and understeering. I only really slid this corner well once or twice. I unfortunately do not have pictures of the other course as this was the closest corner to the pit. I was having much better luck on the other layout on the far side of the lot.

I still think it is funny that this conversation even got started. As I stated, I only ran es100s up front, so it is not like they would see very much heat at all. I was running my old 15" rims in back with some ****ty 205/60 yokos. So what do you guys run when drifting? I see people using azenis and cannot understand why. Sure, they give you a lot of controll, but those wear through very quickly and cost a lot. I will soon be replacing my es100s with some falken azenis myself, but when at drift events, I will swap out the rears for old crappy tires.

yeah just cause some of the understeer i askedbut some of the pics have nice smoke. i like.

es100s held up fine for me. i like them. i did about 90 seconds worth of 3rd gear donuts on the skid pad at some drift day non stop and the es100s didnt care.

ES100's get flat spots and camber wear like a beeza for a tire that costs what it does... I guess its ok if you run 0 camber...but who takes their car to a drift event with 0 camber?

looks like you're getting better at sliding but understeer is killing you, if you're spinning out when you do grab a good line, stay on throttle longer and harder...not for the smoke it produces but to carry you through the corner without regaining traction... at what speed are you taking that turn? top of second gear?

anyways, looks like a fun day, I'm jealous

Ok for some reason all of the file locations for those pictures changed. No clue why. I just edited it to reflect the changes.
