How does one post pictures in the message? The vB Code help on the IMG coding was a little confusing as I do not have a http address for the pictures (to my knowledge).

Also, where are members posting their rides?

Thanks for the help.

Well, they're stock... but from a '97 - so you're exactly right. Way to know your wheels man! Be safe over there in the desert...

Hey Hitman et al.

I thought I would post a picture of my Q - it looks almost identical to Q451990's! My wife never even noticed I changed wheels!

My Q is running well...I hear an exhaust shield rattling a little at idle. The AC is working exceptionally well. I still have the g35 on my mind, but when I placed an ad for my Q, I did not even get one call! Unless I get around $4500 for my Q, the G will have to wait until next year.

Looks similar to mine too (except the wheels are different and the absense of a rear spoiler). OK its the same color.

Rattle coming from a heat shield? I thought this very same thing concerning a different vehicle from a different marque. It turned out to be a self-destructing cat. The element had come loose and was rattling around in the housing. It turned out to be a common problem with those cars. I have never heard of it in a Q, but you never know. Mine only rattled at idle. If you gave it any gas the flow of exhaust gases appear to trap it loose element against the back of the cat and the rattling stops.

Just a thought...

Lon

That's a good looking car! :) I took about five seconds trying to figure where I was when I took the pic until I noticed the green paint...

Just take them off, both of them!!

I was in denial for months and months that the heat shield under the cats was not rattling enough to make noise... was sure it was something in the suspension.

Removed one of them 2 months ago and things got better, then removed the second one last week and... NO MORE NOISE!!!

I FEEL something in the suspension now and then, but never hear anything anymore.

Just takes a 10mm wrench and a little patience... kinda hard to work with if the nuts are rusty, but worth the trouble.

But they had to be there for a reason in the first place... I've been able to bend them around a bit to eliminate noises... also had a noise from the exhaust mounts missing a couple of nuts.

Use a hose clamp to lock the heat shield down. If you're not sure which one it is just tap around with a rubber mallet.

Hey guys, currently the IMG tags are turned on for signatures ONLY (hence, my signature works). Attachments are limited to 400x400 pix. This is to cut down on bandwidth. If anybody wants to change these settings, maybe start a poll?

Personally I don't want to change them. I like having low bandwidth for two reasons. One, is it makes the sight faster, and the other is for dialup users. I am on DSL, but I know the pain of dialup. And I don't want to discourage dialup users from coming to this site because of load time.

But, we will always be open to suggestions. Anybody who has any comments or suggestions, feel free to mention them! We are all ears.

I would keep them out of signatures also. What's the point?

Did you just hijack this thread, EZcheese15?
