hey guys, I would like to know if anyone can take some pics for me? I need some of the front hub area with the wheel off. In detail, I would like some of with the wheel turned out as much as possible and a pic of the rear side, front side, and top of the hub/brake caliper area? this is for any 2001-2004 pathys, or QX4's

Also if anyone has a pic of a stock front rotor, and caliper that arn't mounted to the truck, just laying on the ground that would be lovely too.

Thanks in advanceJT

Sweet! Thanks Empty, thats exactly what I was after.

The reason I was looking for this is because I think I'm going to have a machine shop build some brackets for my Project Mu 4 Piston Calipers, and put some 345mm rotors on. As nuts as this sounds, the only reason why I'm doing this is because I have a set currently on my IS300, and I tried to sell them, but its not everyday you can find someone willing to spend 2K on a set of brakes, even if they retail for $4K.

It looks like all I need is a bracket for the caliper, and a new hat machined. I guess I need to find a stock rotor in a yard to have a blank hat made.

Oh, I don't know if you already knew this V, the way you have your rotors mounted, you will get better brake gas disapation, which will result in better braking. but there is a down side, by having the slots sweep in that direction, you will go through pads a little faster. it may only be a 5-10% difference in pad life, but its a difference. just FYI if you hadn't of already known.

Thanks again. I'll post updates when I get it done.

Yeah that's how DBA has their catalog setup for rotor direction, you by them specific for a side. I was thinking that the direction they're in allows gas to escape quicker, never thought about how it affects pad life though.

I love your brake setup Empty V. As soon as my roters warp again I will upgrade to some drilled roters, i might just keep the same calipers though. Oh an what's wrong with your brakes that makes you want to spend 2 Gs on a new setup?? stopping competitions?

well, I spent $2k on the brake setup for my IS300 because at the time it was a great deal, (retail was $4200) and I tracked it on occasions. now, I've got my hands on some APracing 8 piston calipers for the front, and 6 pistons for the rear of the IS300, and rotors from a SLR Mclaren that will be going on it as soon as I have some brackets machined. the brake setup normally would of cost close to $35,000 but I got it for quite a bit less. Its an absolutely insane setup I know, the calipers weight 1 1/2 lbs each, they are made of Titanium, and are hollow milled, watercooled, JGTC spec. here is a pic of one ot em, my hand, and a stack of the 360 MM rotors I'll be using when its all done.Oh, and to put it into perspective, I wear EX Large mechanics gloves....

Well, the AP's are going on my IS300, here is a pic of my IS300 as it sits now, these Project Mu's are what might end up on the Pathy.

Dude both of those sets are nuts! I was amazed when I took apart my lady's RX300 and saw that they're only single piston calipers, how ridiculous is that?

I guess if it works? I just figure 4000lbs traveling at +60mph = +40,000 accelerated mass/kinetic energy...or something like that. I think 4 pistons and some bigger rotors could really be a benefit.
