Seeing if anyone has a picture of the KA24E carburator manifold. I never seen it, but have seen it for sale.

I have a few questions regarding it also. The manifold which will bolt mikuni carbs, would mikuni carbs off of a motorcycle fit on to them OR would ITB bolt up to that manifold? Also would it be possible, and correct if you find some carbs you like that wont exactly bolt to have adapters made?

Does anyone have an idea if anyone is going to 'mass-produce' a ITB manifold.

The reason I ask so much stuff lately, I have a fully KA24E just sitting that I want to build, trying to research, learn as much as possible before I choose which route to go.

HKS and webber both made this style mani for the KAE. You can bolt up ITB's from tweak it of Australia, SU carbs (for datsun and BMW), Mikuni carbs, and even webbers. The the mikuni carbs originally came off of suzuki and yamaha motor engines, but are a direct bolt on to the mani.Rebello racing can sell you a complete kit for $1600, and they are a mikuni authorized dealer.

Motorcycle carbs are usually slide throttle type and dont mount with a flange like most the carbs you see on cars (like mikunis on ka24e manifolds).

Mikuni 44mm sidedraft is the japanese version/alternative to the weber DCOE. Some (a lot) of people prefer the mikuni because it stays in tune and/or easier to tune (preference). 48mm+ mikunis are rare.

The weber was designed long ago in europe, the sidedrafts you see are known as DCOE and have been used on european sports cars for ages.

Solex and SK are a couple of other manufactures of DCOE type sidedraft carbs. Solex is no longer made but you can get SK's new.

EFI throttle bodies designed for DCOE type flange pattern will work with these manifolds.

sohc manifold

Most of the ka sohc at this link are using this manifold, sold by nissan motorsports and made in california by B.C Gerolamy.http://hybridka.com/kagallery/gallerypg1.htm

devious, prob a stupid question but why are the bolt holes elongated? its combersome and irritating to assemble.

Would it be possible to carb a SOHC S13? I know with FI, you have a return line from the fuel rail to the tank where unused fuel cycles back to, but with a carb setup is there a way to use a return line? If not, where does the fuel go or is there some other type of fuel pump used?

Also, isn't the ignition ECU controlled? If thats the case how do you control the igntion, since you wouldn't be using an ECU with the carbs?

you would need 3-6psi on the fuel and I dont think you can regulate the fuel reliably with the efi pump. you would have to use a different distrbtr. I have heard of people using the stock dist with locked timing but I dont think its a good idea.
