I had the spoiler installed today and noticed it looked different than the other pictures showing the spoiler. I am located in Canada and it appears the Canadian version is smaller than the US one???Can anybody confirm this. You can clearly see the indent where the brake light is located.

Its hard to tell from that picture how much smaller it is... it looks very unique ~ I'd love to see some more pics from different angles & lighting, if you have a chance... Where did you get it? Is it something the dealership ordered & installed for you?

Yes I have confirmed with my dealer here that in fact they are two different part numbers and the one listed in the brochure ( the bigger one) are US only and the Canadian version is smaller. I am not too happy because I like the US version better. They can order one from the States, but thats going to cost me extra, plus they cant assure the mounting holes are in the same location.Ofcourse when I complained they pointed to the print on the picture wich states "may not be exactly as shown" . So far I love my Rogue so I will just accept it as is.

Thanks for posting this info. It sucks that its not what you wanted, but its helpful to me because I was considering a spoiler for my Rogue. Now if I do, I'll be sure to order the US one myself.

A paper mounting template appears to be included with the spoiler itself. I found online instructions for the spoiler installation, but only a tiny picture of the template is shown, not the template itself.

The only way to compare is to get the template from someone who has installed the spoiler... and did not throw the template away. You obviously need one from Canada and one from the US.

AFAIK, no one here has tried to swap a CDN for a US spoiler. The Rogue does not come with one from the factory, so there are very few out there to begin with.

I wish I could help more, but this is my best suggestion.

I did manage to find the instructions online but not the template, and the instructions doesn't indicate the drill holes positions...

Unfortunately, I can't find the Canada version instructions / template

As you now know, the Canadian spoiler sucks. The U.S. one is definitely the better of the two. The really cool thing about it is that it totally matches the upsweep of the rear side window. FTW!

FYI, I had my "Canadian" spoiler swapped/replaced into a US spoiler free of charge by my dealership, and they are taking the issue with Nissan Canada (even though they give the usual speech that "parts may look be different than picture" - but that's obviously false advertisement...

My dealership's parts manager confirm that there is a Canadian supplier and a US supplier of Rogue spoilers...

There may actually be a good reason for the Canadian Rogue spoiler design:

Transport Canada has a standard (Techincal Standards Document #108) that requires stop lamps be visible +/- 15 deg from the horizontal (up/down) and +/- 45 deg from the vertical (left/right). This would also include the center-high-mount-stop-lamp (3rd brake light)

http://www.tc.gc.ca/roadsafety...%2019

It's possible the US spoiler didn't comply with Transport Canada Regulations and was covering up the center mount stop lamp, so perhaps Nissan had to redesign it. Actually, from the photos I've seen of the US spoiler, I am almost convinced... it seems you can barely see the 3rd stop lamp.

Good point phillipa. Especially for those (like me) cover 3rd brake light with tint like letters Rogue on it. You can barely see it with the spoiler.

Nobody knows. Honestly, as far as the gov't is concerned the vehicle just needs to have have the 3rd brake light. I doubt you would ever get pulled over or fail a safety inspection because you have the US spoiler.
