I got into modding my comp last summer. Tore down and repinted the chassis and installed a window and some blue LED fans. I then got an S13 and quit caring:)

Later this summer, I *may* build a system in a ammo box. We shall see hoe bored I get. It is soooo nich having the guts of 8 computers laying around (but only 2 P4s and 2 decent graphics cards...:()

I was going to do something like that to my computer, but I never turn it off and the light would get highly annoying as I'm trying to sleep. That and my cars suck my money down like water in a desert.

That's why you get a switch for the lights. In the 3rd picture the big dials control the fan speeds and the small buttons control the lights..

And now..the specs..

Teflon tape on all threads and hose clamps on all barbs... no leaks so far and its been running under full load for about a year 24/7 on most of the time...

I just have to flush out the system like once in a while just like radiators heh.. I use 20% anti-freeze and 80% distilled water for anti-corrosion.

My water cooled system leaked. I had a Thermaltake (i think, I can never remember), waterblock and it started leaking around the block. The surprising thing is it started leaking, I noticed the water level in my reservoir went down, but I was too lazy to investigate (that's pretty damn lazy) and my computer locked up a a few times. So I checked it out and my video card was soaked. So I pulled it all off and put a normal air fan on it. Anyway, they *can* leak, but if you're careful it won't. Make sure you verify everything is tight every few months. Oh yea, after it dried it was all good, no problems. (Who would have guessed Gforce cards like water).

It was only a Athlon 2000+ I need to get somthing better. It's sad how once you work with computers your desire goes down. My computer here at work (NASA) is a dual Xeon 3.2ghz w/4gb ram. All so I can post on nico ;)

I'm thinking about going with a Pentium for my next machine. Eww.. nevermind. I hate Intel chips. But you can hardly overclock the athlons now. That's why I don't do anything with my system anymore. AMD has let me down and I hate intel. So I guess i'll just be slow. Well, overclocked 2000+ isnt slow, but it's not fast. What's new with the AMD chips these days? Do they have anything good yet? I'm out of the loop now. Oh ya, and I hate windows XP! I have no clue why.

My server is a Duron 650 w/386mb ram. It only runs Windows 2000 pro. It's so nice. It hosts racingonthestreet.com. I never have to do anything to it. If anything ever does not work right I just hit reset. I haven't even turned on it's monitor in months. It boots with all the required services running and updates everything automatically, and I SMB into it to modify the web files. And admin the email and everything else via a web interface. Blah

You're not supposed to put very much in the water. If you just put a bit it's fine. But they have coolants designed for watercooling.

Athlon has the new 64 bit processors, which are simply wow, p4 does too but intels suck (i agree), by the way 2.4 @ 3.51, thats pretty amazing if not impossible, whats your core temp?

Has anyone seen the p4 overclocked to 5+GHz cooled by liquid nitrogen? That was one cool test computer
