Post

Hey guys, I'm just finishing up installing my "new" (used) ka24e in my 92 4x4 hb.... I've got almost everything in except a few fairly important details (as all details are extremely important :)... wondering if someone with a few extra minutes and some dry place to take a few pictures of their motor (it's raining here and 36 deg (last I checked, which means this install is nothing shy of miserable, including my deservedly pissed off wife who's been waiting for me to drive this thing since we started paying insurance almost a month ago)... yes, I'm an idiot... so far I've been pretty good about tracking shiny surfaces, and using my undereducated guesses to get locations and I think I'm actually pretty close. Sorry for the ridiculous hot links... I couldn't get the images to load after I opened the post, so here's the pix n the links (sounds like a super bowl snack).

1: back of alternator (I'm pretty sure I've got my wiring right, but not 100%) Image

2: starter (I've got the positive lead closest to the starter right now, with the negative being closest to the wheel) Image

3: Vacuum hoses on the passenger side of the intake manifold that come from a black canister there's 2 hoses on it... Then there's a few more hoses that I'm trying to track down, which I've probably already got wrong... Image

I'm pointing to the two open vacuum hardlines (obviously they're really tough to see, u can just barely see them poking out)

4: the wiring under the air filter housing (I've got 2 wires that I'm not 100% as to where they go... they're small bundles with terminals that would fit on top of a post, or that would have a screw fasten them to some sort of foundation. One has a black wire with red stripe bundled with another ) Image

5: last but not least, distributor and wires (I've got the cap with the window/tumor/vent on top)

Much thanks!
