Hi All

I've got my HUD apart for repair and the first problem I've run into is that resistor 11 (R11) is missing.

Take a look at the attached pictures, see where I've circled? I need to find out the value that belongs there. I can do that if someone with a HUD cluster will take a picture of it for me.

This is the outermost board in a stacked set behind the display that shows the speed in the dash cluster. It is removed first and contains the power regulators to supply voltages and power to the other circuit boards and the display itself.

If you have a HUD cluster that you can take a picture of I'd really appreciate it.

The second picture shows what it looks like on the other side, which is what you'll see before you remove it. There are only three philips head screws holding it on.

Thanks!

Are you sure it's missing? I'm looking at other pictures and don't see an additional resistor. Isn't R11 that brown one or maybe the small orange one? Anyway, if you don't get a new picture from someone, maybe the existing pictures on the internet can help. I just googled 240sx HUD Circuit and got a handful of nice photos, similar to yours. Mostly pointing to threads on other 240sx forums.

I think central coaster is right. There's no sign that there was ever a resistor there. Maybe it's a MPH/KPH thing?

Hey - You're right!

I put it under the microscope and it appears there never was a component there. I "assumed" it was missing or had fallen off. My mistake!

Thanks!
