I've never seen one. The SOHC CAs, yes.

The USDM KN13 Pulsar had EGR for sure. Others may have as well.

Australian N13 Exa had one as well. Front wheel drive no turbo.

Another item that might be of interest regarding this particular CA is the NICS Secondary Butterflies Control System
fitted to S12 Silva. It has 2 vacuum tanks and 3 solenoids. I don't believe this type is fitted to any other engine in
this series other than the S12 Silvia. I have some pictures some where will put them up when I find them.

Hmmm, I wonder if there are more butterfly valves in the manifold than what I've seen pictures of?

trust me there are only the eight, and here are the pictures of the NICS set up.

and since the CA18DET uses the same head as the CA18DE, you can actually see an EGR block off plug on the CA18DET

not that anyone wants to, but I wonder how hard it would be to retrofit an EGR valve into the CA18DET for those in places who are very strict about NOx emissions ;)

You'd have to use the USDM FWD over-the-top intake manifold. It's the one that has the EGR feed built into it. I don't think any of the other do.

pardon me but what's an EGR? exhaust gas recurculation valve stuff? I for some reason happen to have on laying around, albeit just the valve. or is this something to do with fuel tank ventilation? I'm talking EDM 200sx s13 CA18DET

EGR is exhaust gas recirculation. It feeds exhaust gas, through a valve, back into the intake manifold. The purpose being that there is unburnt fuel in the exhaust so to reduce emissions, a portion of the exhaust gas is pumped back through to be burnt again.
