This is the Weapon-R Secret Weapon intake system originally designed for the 2.0 Sentra's, but after looking at a lot of detailed photos of the SE-R engine bay they decided it was worth a try to test the fitment. Intake got to me yesterday and it fits like a charm. I got a majority of the intall done in the dark last night in about 1.5 hours (removal of stock airbox and intake tubing took about 1hr 15mins of that time) and the new intake went in very easily. Directions were for installation in a 2.0 but they were close enough and after taking a look at the 2.0 engine bay (thanks to xalliwantisu) i was able to improvise and finish it up this morning. anyways here's some pictures. system only cost $192 shipped with a complimentary ram air kit (not installed) and a bottle of filter cleaner from wesellcarparts.com. Weather was pretty nasty out today but as soon as it clears up I will work on getting a video posted.

Wow that looks realy good! matches the engine bay very well. Just wondering why you decided to go with a short ram, and not a CAI?

eh, it's the same age old debate of which is better. i figure they are close enough as far as gains are concerned, short ram is cheaper, easier to install, and easier to clean the filter when you need to. short ram is supposed to give slightly better power down low with slightly better throttle response. cai is supposed to give more power up top. it's just a personal preference between the two i guess.

Doesn't look too bad. I just hope you didn't pay alot for it. It looks pretty simple. Now you'll become addicted to the intake sound.

hey man that looks pretty sick... i been following what u been doing since i signed up with the club. i also have an 07 spec v and just waiting to see what else comes out before i install anything. but all ur input is great man. do u feel any difference in torque with the cat back. cant wait to hear a sound clip for that intake.

with any catback by itself the gains are going to minimal. once you replace the headers along with the catback is when you unleash the extra power of the larger tbing and higher flowing system. there is a slight notice in power gains, but the most obvious difference is that the car "feels" faster because of the new sound.

To add to that, a catback alone only really adds a few hp in the upper and midranges. That's the only time there's enough exhaust flow to actually take advantage of the larger piping.

A catback without a header isn't worth much, and a header without a catback isn't much better.

A buddy of mine just installed an AEM Cai onto his B15 Spec V and he said it doesnt necessarily give you more power up top, but rather the powerband moves more up top. So he lost a bit of low end torque
