Well, to make a long story short, my friend was going about 35mph (so he says) and swerved to miss a van and flipped it once into in embankment. So I bought it. Here are some pics. It really is sad to see a 240 get totalled, but at least the remaining parts are going to live on in my car.

The engine is going on my engine stand to be rebuilt with Crower Rods and forged pistons. I figure if I'm going to spend the money to turbo a car I'm going to do it the right way the first time with high strength parts.

I was going to pay him $200, but I'm getting other parts from him. So the total came to $250 and I'm towing it off on Sunday.

250 for an engine and transmission is not a bad deal at all..

Hope your project works out.

I know you're going to be rebuilding it, but I'm just wondering how much miles does it have?

Cool, just parting out the interior & other misc stuff you don't need should easily get your money back - the interior looks black, so at least a couple hundred there.

To answer all of the questions:

1.The engine and chassis have about 135k, whereas my 240sx has 108k. I do not know much about the transmission and neither does the previous owner (This car was an auto to manual swap). Both engines run strong, but I think it would probably be best to rebuild the higher mileage engine. My Corvair engine is off the engine stand so now the spare KA will be going on there.

2. My friend is fine, he got a scratch on his hand. The other 2 passengers were fine aswell.

3. Not sure if I can part that out. I pick up the car tomorrow, after that I will start stripping the car and inventorying all the useable parts. I will have a list of what I'm keeping and what I'm not shortly. I really don't plan on getting rid of too much because I already have plans for another project car since my Corvair is finally finished. Lets just say a S13 coupe, stripped interior, resealed, weld weak points, powdercoated suspension pieces, rebuilt engine for about 20psi of boost, rollcage... Well I could go on but the only step I can take before going to college is rebuilding the engine and then start setting up for a turbo.

4. The front seats I'm definately keeping. My hatchback's front seats are leather and the drivers side seat is ripped so I'll probably put in the tweed seats to match the rest of the interior. Oh and the tweed seats are in great condition.
