There is no limit to how wide you can go, it just depends on how much money/work you want to put into it.

For a more practical setup, I love my 18x10's with 30mm widebody.

There's a maximum tire thread on Zilvia (i know, i know, another forum, but they have more motorsports oriented s-chassis ppl there, sorry) if you search. I think someone tried to start it on here, but it didn't take off.

In any case, I've run 18x9 +8 (or +7 i don't remember) in front & 18x10.5 +18 in the rear. In these pics, it's 265/35R18 all around. I currently run 295/30R18 in the back just for fun.

Would take a better pic, but I'm currently on my "race tire" setup prepping for the weekend - only 245/40R17. I'd run wider/bigger, but there are budget constraints now that I'm back in school .

265/35R18 all around - best I could find were pre-paint; camber in back was approx -2:

Picture below is with 295/30R18 in back (you can barely make it out, but as you can see, clears just fine w/ proper camber - about 2.5 neg)

For reference, the z32 on the right is running 225/50R16 (yes, yes, a lil small for the TT, but it's not working right & in my defense, the bridgestones are stickier than some 245's that ppl run on those cars)

18x10 ET15 front, 18x10 ET10 R

and on my driftcar:

Thats 18x10 ET-10 with a 25mm overfender on the rear. Ive seen 240SX's with 12J ET -25 but they were wearing 50mm overfenders.

considering the OP is asking about "widest tires", you probably wanna put your tire sizing in there, too . And of course, if you have alignment specs, that couldn't hurt.

Ahh, fair comment

The black one is running a 235/40 in that picture, and the white one runs whatever I can get my hands on - probably only a 245 there. We do seem to run much thinner rubber in the UK than you guys do - dont know if its a price thing or what

Widest I know of on a UK is a 315:

I know its not a Vert, but theres no reason why a Vert couldnt do it. The rear wheels are 13" with 50mm overfenders. Oh, and it has an RB30 with Nitrous as well :D

I don't know how I forgot about this local 240sx vert...

"18x14 -16 with Nitto 555 335/30/18s. Basically with that offset I need to widen the quarters 4.75 inches on each side!"

that project died in '07, and its a damned good thing it did. Desicration on SOOOOO many levels there. Not to mention how horribly out of balance it would have been. (and ugly too.)

I have faith that Dave could've pulled it off. Here's one of his other cars.

He also built an amazing s13.5, but I can't find any pictures of it right now. It's actually the reason I got my silvia front.

It's too bad he hasn't done anything to the vert, I'm not even sure he still has it. I know he was selling the pink car a while back.
