Hey guys,

Anyone got pics of Rota P45R 18x9.5 +15 4x114.3 wheels? looking at getting the black and red lip ones for my s14 but I wanna see some pics first.

I just want to see what kind of stance the car will have with these wheels so colours in the pics dont matter. thanks!

IDK, man. They look pretty sweet. I just ordered Rota P45R's in the exact color the OP mentioned. I can post pics next week when they come in.

you wanna know why some Rotas look pretty damn good?

because theyre f***ing copies of really nice wheels.

save up your pennies and get a set of real wheels instead of cheaping out on knockoffs.

rota = weak

i know you know this, im just throwing it out there for anyone else that feels the need to praise the copiers for having such inexpensive wheel options for 240s.

i didnt buy Rota Torques.

i bought Work Emotions.

stop buying rota p45-rs and get actual nismo wheels.

Whoah, slow down there, Champ. Not really sure why this is a big deal. Rota's aren't a bad wheel for the price. Sure, they're a little heavy for a rim, but they're still decent rims, and by far the best in their price range.

If the OP, and myself, want to purchase Rota's with our pennies, we can and should do so.

Rota's are cool, OP, rock em if you got em.

1000 dollars on 5 lug rotas is stupid.the only reason i would get rotas is because they have nice sized wheels in 4 lug. however, with 5 lug there are so many options i owuld never cheap out on wheels.

Why do ppl keep calling these wheels heavy? At 22.5 lbs, they're only 1 pound heavier than LM GT4 wheels. Not heavy at all. The 17's are even lighter. You must be thinking of Sportmaxx...

These wheels are available at most ppl's Discount Tire store for around $750 per set and even cheaper on Ebay... Anyone spending $1000 on these must be buying them from Subydude and is functionally retarded.

However, it is nice to have the real deal. To the OP, it's your money dude, do what you want with it. Just make sure you don't regret what you have done, because then you will just be spending money again.

Hey OP, don't sweat all these e-ballers here. Most of them probably can't afford to buy the real deal anyways. Rota's atleast giving us 4 luggers options on nice looking wheels. BTW, I'm rocking Rota's myself so everyone can continue to hate :P

So they are copies who cares not everyone can drop 2k on wheels and if you're pushing 300-400+ hp its not going to matter much if they weigh a little bit more. Some things I'll buy the real deal but with wheels I don't see why it matters so much its probably going to get curb rash eventually anyway and I won't feel as bad when that happens b/c its an inexpensive wheel.

Not to mention that the Ray's Nismo LMGT4's never came in the color I want. Rota's Hyper Black is amazing... And since they're discontinued, it's not financially hurting Rays if someone buys a knockoff of a wheel they no longer produce.

So if anyone expects me to hunt around for someone selling LMGT4's in the sizes I want, pay ~$3000 shipped for them and then pay another ~$400 to have them powder coated the color I want just so I can say I have geniune forged wheels that are only 1 pound lighter than the knockoff cast wheels.... well F*** that and F*** them.

^^+ to add to that, why spend 2K or more on rims when they're going to get scratched and used anyways? I had my p45rs for 5 months and they are already scratches (almost on every wheel) due to rock chips, etc.. O yea my rotas got scratched... what if your chrome volks or real nismos got scratched or chipped? Go waste your 2-3K.

Unless its a showcar (which I'm sure most people in here don't own)

yeah, you guys make sense.

they look nice. theyre cheaper than real wheels with actual reputation and whatnot

but theyre still knockoff bulls***. buy what you want, sucks you cant save money to get the original version instead of buying the cheap remakes

Stop being petty and accusatory. For some, like me, saving isn't the problem. My common sense just kicks in and tells me that paying over $1300 more than a reasonable replica just for a name and one pound of wieght savings on a street car isn't worth it. It would be different if LMGT4's were as light as RPF1's, but they aren't.

Not everyone cares about being a brand/jdm whore.

Edit: The track racing Subaru crowd stand behind Rota and Rota stands behind their product. Take these with a grain on salt, guys...

I'm not gonna lie, I'm not a big fan of knock off wheels...

but I'm not going to tell you NOT to get them. Hell, they copy popular wheels at a fraction of the price.

here's the reality of the situation though. They are heavier than the wheels they copy, and they're cast metal, which means in an impact, they'd shatter or crack, instead of bending (which can be repaired if bent back to original shape).

but if you're all about saving money and looking good at the same time, go for it.

My first set of golf clubs were knock offs of some Callaway irons. I paid like $250 for the whole set (real Callaway Big Bertha irons retail for over $1,000), and in my first year of playing, I was getting lower scores than those that had real Callaways.... hehe

Unless someone can show me a pic of similar sized LMGT4's and P45R's on a scale with wieght differences greater than a pound or two, I'd say thats a minimal point.

I agree forged is better than cast, of course. But ppl need to be assured that this doesn't mean your Rota is going to shatter like glass the first time they hit something (of course, they might under the right conditions, but so will forged...). Cast wheels were around for decades before Forged came along. Rota is also and OE wheel manufacturer, too.

Plus, it seems Rota is quick to take care of you if something bad happens, as seen in that thread I posted above...
