I decided to get some new wheels / tires for the car.

I didn't want to spend all too much so I purchased the Stern ST-1 19" wheels off Ebay. I've heard all of the pluses and minuses of them but like the looks - and I'm not going to be racing any time soon I also got a great deal on the tires from the body shop - I got 4 brand new 245/40 R19s Goodyear Eagle GT all season tires for $556!

Anyway, here are the pics, I like how flush the new wheels are to the car - not sunk in like the OEM wheels. Car isn't washed, wheels are a little dirty, and tires aren't shined up because it's been doing this all day:

Thanks guys, I'm liking them so far. Wish it would stop raining so I could shine them up and get the tires looking good.

For the price, 4 for basically the price of 2, I couldn't pass them up. I remember having Eagle GTs on a couple of my Trans Ams ( couldn't find a Mullet icon, I looked, sorry ). They are rated pretty decent, so we shall see how they work.

Can you drop an X? I thought I had read where it wasn't recommended.

You are correct. That would be hail - had enough of it where it did cover like snow though

It's all good. Like I said, I knew the pro's and con's of the wheels. But I gotta tell ya this wasn't a planned expense and for $359 for 4 wheels it's pretty hard to beat. How many VS-SS's can you buy for $359? And I think the offsets look pretty great, nice and flush on the car.

Did you need to adjust the camber when you did it? If you did, what did you use? Can't wait to see pics

One thing I liked about them is they look like they could have been OEM wheels.

As far as dropping an X, I think it matters where you live. I think mine may look better dropped but the fact was I was a little bit low stock for the the snow we had here. If it was just rain I wouldn't care as much except for the fact that I still have to be careful in some parking lots not to pull too far forward.

Dude ...I like the slam look you got with the pro Ebach kit. Did you install yourself? If so is there a DYI anywhere?

Did you change your stock wheels and tires? Whats your set up?
