I'll have better pics after I decide what color to get the calipers powder coated, so for now please excuse the pee yellow color that they are.

Car looks very sporty in person. Exhaust sounds clean. I got the pleasure of riding in Ken's car. She is a beast. The brakes are off the chain. Thanks Ken!!!

Thanks for the kind words. I'm not sure what it is with these wheels, but they make the car feel so much more planted on the road and I swear I can tell a difference in part throttle acceleration but that may just be the fact that the tires are so much more quiet than the previous set of tires on the car. Alignments shop here I come!

Wish I could have stuck around - I actually left in such a hurry that I forgot my spacers and lug nut key -Doh!

Wheels look good! What is the weight without the tire? Are they two piece modulars?

The 19x10 rear with +44 offset was right at 22lbsThe 19x8.5 front with +32 offset was just a little more than that because of the thicker pad that bolts to the hub. Thicker to be stronger to handle the extra load of turning and to clear the BBK's out there.

For the M with the BBK the fronts clear fine with +32 offset but the rear at +44 offset just touched the calipers so a 2mm spacer was used. If you use a +42 offset it would clear perfect.

These are made by Forgestar and are 1 piece flow formed wheels. Flow formed is nearly like forging which strengthens the cast aluminum to allow less material to make a stronger lighter wheel.

I got mine from Element just like 07sportm35's Vossens.

I'll need to verify, but they should have been. That was one thing I didn't confirm when I ordered them and forgot to check when they were installing them.

Ken!

Awesome.. they look great. I'm sure you stoked! What tire size did you go with? Gonna look killer when the calipers are done... for sure..

btw, did you try 07sport's vossen's on your car? did they clear the bbk? if not, how close were they.. the front's could clear a small spacer but the backs are tapped out as from what 07sport posted, they are 4mil outside the fender.. im looking around at wheels but also want to add the bbk down the line..

Thanks! and no, haven't tried them out yet but from what I can tell from the pictures it doesn't look good. We'll check em out and see soon enough, but I'm so busy right now with work I'm not sure when we'll be able to get to it.

Wow - the car looks slick with the 5-spokes. Might have to look into replacing the stock 19" with something a little more sporty.

Great pics!

Yup - totaly agree that you can express your opinion, but you said you would have spent your money on a much lighter wheel for alot less $$

I think the point that you left out "what" you would actually buy, like it's a big secret, or were not good enough to know what you'd buy for yourself.

Before you read the rest - make sure you know that I did not buy these wheels based on weight - I bought them to clear the Akebono BBK

Personally and Realistically - there are no other 19" rims that weigh less than these for less than these cost brand new. If you are talking used I'd bet you'd have a hard time finding them as well if not you'd get very close but it'd be like finding a needle in a haystack.

Could I have found lighter and cheaper wheels - yup but they wouldn't be 19's. could I have found cheaper heavier wheels, or more expensive lighter wheels, but not both.

And come one man - it is one thing to come back with a response, but totaly unecessary to scream it out as you did - chill out.

Oh - and still wondering what you'd buy that would be lighter and cheaper in a 19" rim and still look decent??

Your car looks very good Ken! I wasn't so sure at first about the 5-spoke wheels until I seen how good they fit your car. If you didn't have the large brakes, the 5-spoke may not have looked so well.Anyways, don't mind those other guys. Funny thing is, Petrol head has yet come up with a wheel to out do you on the cost vs. weight factor and look good at the same time. I've been away for a while, but nice to see some of the old crowd is still around. You get your M tuned yet Ken??????????? WTF?? What are you waiting on???Get 'R" DUN!

I doubt I will get a new engine. It supposedly only burned oil on the 1000-2000mi test. Burned .4qt in that interval. I'm now on the final consumption test interval (2,000-3,000mi). The test I believe only goes up to 3,000mi total. I have about 24,500 miles on the odometer. The test will be over at 25,000mi. I'm not sure what will come of any of it to be honest. This car is now only considered transportation for the time being. I have no will to modify it any longer. No good seems to be had with this car and modifications or just owning it.There always seems to be something wrong with it. When my A/C is on it always makes a slight constant ticking noise from the outside of the car. Gets louder when car is fully up to temp. Infiniti tech says that is a normal issue that the compressor just does. He said a replacement might quiet it down, but it may not eliminate it.I just told him if it gets any louder, that I will have it replaced.....

Jim
