As some of you may have seen last week, I traded my G for an 05 GTO. Here are some of the pics of the black beast.

Nearly double displacement, what do you think so far?

Is it really the widow maker they paint them as?

Nice trade, I used to want one soo bad.

I seriously considered an 09 G8 GXP...but changed my mind because of limited availability/Pontiac going out of business.

Lets see the engine pic!!!

I second the motion! I kinda liked the GTO when they came out, but for some reason, I just don't like them anymore. They look much older than they really are to me. I'd have one as a drag car.

Great choice as an upgrade! I almost picked one up when I was shopping for the G but just couldn't find one with low enough miles for my liking. Plus gas was expensive then...as it's getting now again...

Nice

Hard to argue with the HP however I think the G is sexier. But as you said you are a HP junkie.

I think the design of the G had many car companies designers an idea. You can see resamblance on other cars.

Need exhaust audio and pictures of the engine bay.

Hey guys. Two weeks into the new car and I still love it. The power delivery is INSANE. Even with the traction control on, if you mat it from a stop, it just spins through first and most of second. (yes it is an auto. have been wanting an auto DD)

I picked her up for $16,600 with 30,105 miles on her. And she just had new tires installed. But I think I will need new ones by summers end.

Poyz and SVT thanks for the vote to ban. I'm not going anywhere tho.

Brandaid. In the wrong hands this is DEFF. a widow maker. 400 hp 400 tq in the hands of a novice would not end well. This is the 3rd car I have had that is over the 400 hp mark. And I already have mods instore. I am already looking at intakes and tuners.

It already has exh work done. The resonators have been removed and the stock mufflers replaced with Flowmasters. I plan in haveing an H pipe welded in soon. The exh note is very sexy. Esp. on start up. (my neighbor says he loves to hear her crank up when I leave in the morning) And at crusing you can hardly hear it.

The gas mileage is the same as my G after I had it tuned. 15-16 city and 22-24 hwy.

I agree that the G was a sexier styled car, but it had its drawbacks. The biggest one for me was lack of head room. At 6'3 it was very cramped. I felt like I had to duck down just to drive. In the GTO I have 2" plus head room. I can actually wear a helmet in this one.

I will try and take some eng pics. But it is really unimpressive. Just two big covers over the valve covers that say GTO. But there is a TON more room to get to everything, unlike the G. You can change spark plugs in under 20 min.

I also stripped all the stuff off the G. So if you ar looking for some stuff, lwt me know. Most if what is for sale is in my sig now.

That car would look so much better with the Holden nose on it. I hated how Pontiac plastered their plastic prosthetic on the front.

Congrats on the trade.

I agreee. The Holden front bumper does look good. But I doubt I will ever change to it. I have seen a few on the GTO forum that has it. From what I can tell, the front bumper and badges are all that are different.

You peaked my intrest. I googled the Holden Monaro (which is what the GTO is). The tail lights are the same on both models.

Now the 06 GTO have factory tined tail lights.

Congrats man,

I would trade a coupe in on one of those too, only as a tech though.

So much power on the cheap cannot be beaten. Hope you do indeed stick around.

Andy. Here did you get that quote that I said I was 30 feet tall? I rechecked my posts.

OHHH you were being funny.

But yes, lack of head room was an issue.

Oh snap!

Not a chance. I work on Subby's and VW's for a living. You can keep both.
