Well it's much easier for HB guys to place a box in theirtrunk without much of an issue of space and such.

I have a trunk and figuring out how to design the box andplace it was somewhat of an issue. I wanted to use at least75" of my trunk so I didn't want some big-*** box sittingright in the middle.

Anywho, there are a few dozen pics here for you to check out:

Anyone with quetions regarding instaling/wiring anamp/sub in an S13 coupe, feel free to ask. :)

That is a serious setup, I bet she sounds sweet. Great job on the install, I hope you don't have the power wire duck-taped to the side still, lol!

I only duct taped the wires cuz it was floating around. It's temporary. It's a ***** to be crouching down to work in thetrunk area trying to hide the wiring under carpet...

I got some Infinity 6.5" components ordered (well I won em oneBay) and I pick them up this Sat. Hopefully I can install themon Sun.

Now I gotta start lookin for an amp to power the comps. :)

nice set up you have there I was curious why did you put the egg crate in the box? I have heard its better to fill the box with cotton so the sub can see more air space. Does this to the same affect without filling the box or would it still be better to fill it?

Originally I didn't have the spongy stuff. I happened to seeit at work (it came in fruits boxes - I work in produce)and it seemed like the exact size of the box (+2") so I figureI try it out.

Overall, I can't tell how much difference it made in sound sinceI didn't use the box to its full potential without it, but it hasn'thad any negative effects in sound. Maybe it made it better.

I was gonna try polyfill, but I guess the effects woulda been toominimal for my application to be that noticable.

It doesn't hurt to experiment. :)

At the moment, the box is just sitting there. It's high enough thatwhen you close the trunk, it just touches the trunk. So it holdspretty steady.

I'll anchor it after I think about how to do it without drillingunnecessary holes.

Definately time to consider something to hold the box steady.

I opened the trunk today to find the box had moved like a foot. :D
