I did a few projects this weekend. The main cosmetic project was painting my stock SE wheels. Since I don't have money for new wheels but wanted a change, I decided painting them might be nice. After reading a bit about how to do it, I took a crack at it and I think they turned out really well.

For some reason the closeup picture looks lighter than they look in normal light.

Heres how I did it: First I sanded down the stock alloys with about 200 grit sand paper. I then cleaned the sanded wheels with super citrus orange cleaner. Then I went over the cleaned wheels with water to make sure no cleaner was left on the wheels. I then let them dry. Then I masked off the tires with tape and paper towels. I bought rustoleum metallic spray paint and sprayed each wheel twice. It only took about 1 and a half cans. After drying for 30 minutes, the wheels were finished and ready to go. Let me know what you guys think.

Nice looking job. Did you spray the entire rim or just the face?

Thanks guys. I just sprayed the face. It turns out that the inside of the wheel had a lot of tar and dirt anyways, so the colors actually kinda match ;)

your not the only one that took on a rim project yesterday;)

I did mine different. I brought my rims to my dads work place. He asked if we could do it. We sandblasted them. Primered with eproxy primer. doesn't even need to be sanded. Made costom gunmetal colour with the painter at my dad's work place. Did 2 base coats and 4 clears. Yours turned out really nice though. I was going to orginal do it your way but then my dad's like why don't you just bring em to my workplace:D

Oh, I guess I just never thought about putting my cardomain up. The springs are H&R sports with KYB AGX shocks.

Thanks for all of the nice replies guys.

BTW, the cardomain site is in my sig now ;)

Very true. And in Atlanta where it seems everyone and their mother is either having their car stolen or their wheels stolen, my sh*t is still stock!

Daniel240: I think it would look good on your car. Just get someone to photoshop the wheels. Its super easy with the paint bucket tool.

Supafly: Haha, well its hondas for now... but I'm willing to bet that the theft ring will soon move to our beloved nissans. Especially since 240s are the new civics.

240sxed: Thanks but its really not so nice up close. There are numerous scratches and paint marks from suckers who can't parallel park. I just use Meguiar's on it and it seems to stay pretty shiny, tho I've been thinking about starting to use Zaino. My pops swears by it.
