I searched SO MANY different forums on how to install anaftermarket tach on a KA. Well, having found nothing I startedto test the wires on the coil and I have successfully installed atach/shift-light.

No one wanted my 5" monster tach that I had lying in mycloset for a year since selling my Mustang, so I put the tach tosome good use.

Here are the pics (and the last pic tells you which wires to tap into):

It will blind you at night, but I will make a cover that lets onlylimited light go through.

Daytime it's fine and doesn't interfere.

I have a cover already (the yellow rubber piece).

What I meant was a cover that only lets a small portion of lightthrough.

Well it looks cleaner and somewhat less ricey then having a big*** tach on the dash. Plus, I didn't feel right drilling holes on mydash for a tach on a KA. :)
