So, Rob, do you use a booster seat?

Good eye for automobiles at such a young age.

Lookin good!

are those the wheels you're talking about?(not exactly sure what the 99's looked like)

and assuming i wanted to spend this much... how about these 18's? think they would look good on my Q? and are they a good buy(pricewise i mean) and are there any specific pros/cons on going with 18s?

No real reason to go that big (except vanity). To get an 18" rim as strong, light and true as the Infiniti factory rim you'll spend far more than the ones you posted.

Plus finding tires in 18" that satisfy the Q's load rating requirements will be nearly impossible 9and cost prohibitive).

Those 16's are easily worth $1K, and wrapped in some sticky 245/50's make the Q into a real treat to drive.

Do a search on Q45 wheels / rims to see the umpteen million posts on wheel sizes.

ok ok... i convinced myself to do it. as the auction moves along tommorow and nears its end... ill start bidding up to 300 or 350 to win the 16's.

spending all this money is making me giddy(or even just talking about it)

ill prolly end up bidding even more if i have to just cause i cant control myself now. i want. :) thanks for the advice

So true. The absolute cheapest semi decent tires I could find for 18's on a Q, are Kumhos at 210 per tire and they dont even meeet the Q's load rating in 255.

You would have to got to 285 or so to get close which will bring the price of tire up to 300 per tire (again the cheapest ones).

Also at those sizes you get fitment issues.

Fred...:)

Curb parking...

Last night I pulled up to a gas station to buy some beer and fuel. It was fairly busy (Friday night.)

Off in the distance I heard what I thought was an overpowered lawn mower... it was a neon/laser green Honda CRX on what appeared to be 15 or 16" rims, complemented by an enormous two-tier aluminum-looking spoiler.

As the guy pulled in to the curb to park (he was going at least 20mph) I heard a loud THUD. I'm surprised his airbag didnt go off (did the CRX have one?)

He got out, looked at the curb, looked at his girlfriend, and said "Dude! Cool!" They went inside not thinking much of it.

When he got in his car and backed up, his front bumper fell off. :)

What a wanker (in the CRX).

Rob, you'll be very happy with the 16's. They're really strong, light for the size, fit perfectly, and look KICK-A$$ with some 255/50VR16's.

Try TireRack.com or Tires.com, some of the Kumho/Sumitomo/Falkens in that size are VERY inexpensive and have good numbers.
