I picked her up in AZ about three weeks ago. She's a 1992 Infiniti Q45. Its a 4.5L V8... She's an excellent highway cruiser... She's already got a Stillen (Jim Wolf) ECU, Stillen (K&N) intake and Borla Catback exhaust. I've since added a 20mm rear swaybar, I'm waiting for a front strut tower brace that I ordered, that should be here early next month. I've also ordered a new Autopage alarm w/remote start and hope to start working on the audio system in September.

VERY hot.

I have seen this car probably 15 times over the past 4 years, and have driven it once - it's fast as hell, and looks gorgeous.

That's one of only a handful of early Q's that has been dealer-maintained for everything (including oil changes) since Day One.

I know you were concerned you might have paid too much - but those pics are all the justification you need.

Well she's no long dealer-maintained... She got an oil change 1600 miles after her last one at Scottsdale Infiniti, changed to a mobile 1 filter and mobile 1 full syn oil too...

Heath,

The adage is true, "Good things come to those who wait."

Your patience paid off here as that is one sweet Q. Is this the one Joe T. posted for a friend?

Yep - Something about that car, maybe it's the wheels.... really make it look like it means business. Very aggressive, and clean.

Cotton White is super-rare, too.

It'll look great with a drop.

Chain guides too?

Looks very nice as is. Don't forget all other fluids and filters, expecially if you can't document their age. In series ATF is advisable for Idaho Summers/Winters.

Thanks for all the compliments everyone... I've only seen one other cotton white Q and that was online... Doubt I'll ever see one here in bumpkinville...

90Q45blue yes this is the one...

Chain Guides were done by Scottsdale Infiniti as was a new transmission and several other things that might have come up. Basically Gary (owner before me) had an extended warranty on the car and knew the techs at the dealership very well... So things that "might" go wrong where fixed/replaced under said warranty... Car literally needed NOTHING when I got it...

Unfortuatly the stock bose system was not so lucky, its on the chopping block SOON... I'll be going with a video setup in the future but for now I'll probably just throw some more stock sized speaker with an Alpine deck in to get me by for the next year while I figure out what I really want and am willing to spend money on in regards to said audio system... I'll also be hardwiring a Valentine 1 radar detector in when I put in the new Autopage alarm w/remote start...

So far I've got about 2K grin filled miles on her and many more to go...

Brian - You don't understand, this car LIVED at the dealership - the prior owner was an Infiniti tech, and later (remember "garyb"?) a good friend of the owner of the dealership... I used to see it there ALL the time, and I believe ALL the service since Day One was done there (even after the car got older)....

If you're installing a V-1 I would highly recommend the concealed display... I love mine.

Tried to type it out and explain it, but it's easier to just post pics

I added a block of tint to help conceal it better, and hopefully to keep it cooler...

And you didn't show it to me? For shame! What a great buy!

Don't remember garyb.

I wonder why he sold it?

That's what I figured. I'd be really jealous if it were white (shamu) or black. I don't think a black interior was offered until '93? I'm not a big fan of white cars, but a tint and black interior changes everything.
