if you are getting a SC then don't spend money on an intake. You won't use them together and it will just be a waste of $$.

You should get a plenum spacer (i'm actually in the process of making one - hopefully can get it done much cheaper that other options currently available)

Exhaust will be helpful with the supercharger - headers can especially help. Replacing the stock cats with HFC or Test pipes is probably one of the best mods you can do on this vehicle for $$/HP ratio.

The Sc will be this summer so intake for now wouldn't be bad.

What will a spacer do?

Intake will be a waste...especially since you won't pic up very much power without a tune. Save the $150-300.

A spacer goes between the upper and lower plenums increasing air volume. It is generally known to be the best mod $$/HP.

Take a look here:

there are other options than this one - Mine is 3/8" thick.

Do they have one for a 2008 infiniti g35? This seems like this will produce more power then a intake n it's cheaper

The issue that spacer corrects was corrected on later VQ engines, so isn't need/useful on the '08.

Welcome to NICO!

My previous car was a 2005 G35 coupe...with some mods. Here's what I would recommend:

It sounds like you want an intake now and possibly get a supercharger later. I was the same way (never got to the supercharger though). Anyway, there is an inexpensive option with a JWT PopCharger and a Z-tube. It looks decent and will not cost as much as other intakes.

For the plenum, I'd stick with MotorDyne. The quality of parts are much better. 5/16 will work well for mid-range RPMs.

Finally, for the exhaust, I'd go with either Stillen or Greddy.

Welcome to NICO Bainy.......

These guys are right.....you really do not get a lot of HP from a CAI....just sounds better. A waste of $$ I did what they suggeted and installed the motordyne 5/16 spacer....a little over $200.

Enjoy yur ride!

Upgrade with a spacer or a new bigger plenum like the Kinetix. Also look into the stillen UD pulleys and a light weight flywheel.

I am currently running a 3/8" spacer. I started out with a 5/8" - cover doesn't fit well but more importantly there are gains from using smaller spacers.

I'd recommend a 5/16, 3/8, or 1/2

3/8 is the perfect size for HP/TQ gains.

i noticed cooler temps when i used the 5/8" composite plastic vs the motordyne aluminum. This is the reason I make mine out of 3/8" composite.
