That's my motor, it's so tiny.....

but it's not the size it's how you boost it!

that's a big radiator in your car!ka24de is bigger than the ca18det

ka24de has more potential ultimately.

what would you say to that?

thats no radiator man thats what we call an intercooler !!!!!the radiator is behind it, the Ca18det may be smaller but potential wise id rather have a smaller forced induction motor than a slightly bigger normally aspirated one

by the way how long you been building that thing for now? i want one, or two !!!!!

hahahaha one big radiator... I am pretty sure that was a joke.

Anyway, your setup is sweet, dimensionally it looks like the CA is a few inches shorter than the SR. Man I need to win the lottery.

Most of the time I spent waiting was to get the $$ I needed to do it. As far as actual work I only spent a month total buildling and installing the motor. Most of the instilaton BS was the fabrication we had to do to make that big turbo fit (if you look it's running a Datsun 210 brake booster, 300zxTT master, and a Quest minivan relocation kit for the brake fluid resivor.

Then we had to fit that intercooler up in there (you really can't appreciate the size of it till you look at it in person).

The CA is a bit shofter than the SR, but it's only by a few inches.

BTW the KA24DE might have more potential, if you want to spend around 100,000 to re-engineer the engine, bore x stroke and stick a new head on it. But at least the KA beats an SR.....

you dont want to see his car.... It has a Huge 3 foot aluminum wing, tuna fish body kit, 14" Chrome Three spokes, Cut springs, Stickers everywhere, a light up exhaust tip, chrome tint, curb feelers, fuzzy dice, coconut air freshner, yellow painted dash and seats, that "cool back in the 80's" 5 way rear view mirror, an 8 track player, neon underglow that you can see the tubes hanging crookedly, and BF goodrich scorcher tires. It's atrocious really.

what cop is gonna think some idiot with led washers and all that toher stuff is smart enough to put in a 400hp turbo engine...it's almost the sleeper look of nowadays....because to look like all the other cars you have to have the 3 foot aluminum wing and cheap wheels with the lowest profile tires made...

Back in the '70s we could have the Dresden Firebomb. It came with a "Belchfire Humongo V8" or a "Nerdglow 6". It usually had raised white letter Disco GT Grabbers.

Every generation has something that will embarase the hell out of them twenty years from now. If people saw what I did to a Sunbeam Tiger I would be SHOT!

Nice job there. What sort of power are you hoping for? I presume quite a lot going by the size of your injectors.

The KA24 throttle body is supposedly the largest throttle body in the nissan lineup. It's larger than a 300zx tt throttle body if i remember correctly. The 300zx guys are using KA24 throttle body and i think it's a worthwhile mod for ca18dets.

oh and by the way, the KA24 has the largest throttle body, anybody want to know why? Because the KA24 is the best engine nissan ever made! displacement is the name of the game! :ylsuper :ylsuper :ylsuper

Next time you get your head out of your *** long enough to look around, check out a Q45, it's 2x the size of a KA TB.

it's a spearco intercooler, it's originally intended for a DSM, but don't hold that against me
