What's up guys? This is my first post here, but I've been lurking since May of last year, when I got my first 240, an '89 CA18DET coupe. I picked up this '90 piggy coupe when I got to Hawaii back in September. I paid 2k for her, completely stock, with the exception of RS*R springs :mike

I did this shoot with a Sony Cybershot, and minimal contrast editing. Let me know what ya think! :gapteeth:

These first few pics will be misc. pics I did when I first got her, and when I first got the rims/tires.

and yes, that is a legit Apexi exhaust.

Then here's a few pics from a small get-together of us Island Sliders, and a few pics at my house

Finally, some good ole 1/4 panel reflection

Thanks for looking! :dblthumb:

I love that car man. What are the wheel and tire specs? They fit really well for having springs.... And that must have taken a lot of wet sanding and buffing to get you paint that perfect... :dblthumb:

Hey sorry for this thread jack but 2 questions.
1- whats your ethnicity?
And that brings me to my next question,
2- Do 'locals' really hate whites/new people coming to hawaii?

Thanks for all the comments guys! Glad you like it :chuckle: I just finished doing an oil change...here's some responses:

Zach- The wheels are Sportmax 962s, 17x7 up front, 17x9 in back. Tires are 215/40/R17s. And yes, a lot of elbow grease in the paint :yesnod

mRodiek- No engine bay pics, because its an old, ratty SOHC that looks like balls. When I get home from deployment in early fall the LS1 I have sitting at my house is going in, as soon as I find a T56 transmission :ohno:

Chris- No threadjack, its all good. Im white. And yeah, most locals dont like white people, because a lot of us are rather disrespectful. I havent had any problems personally, but occasionally youll see a local's truck rockin a "Defend Hawaii" sticker in the back windshield, with an M16 sticker with it. Its a little odd. I dont know about them, but Id rather be a United States island, than a Japanese island...

Khost, Bob, and Chocolate- thanks a lot for the compliments! I detail the sh*t outta her to keep her lookin good :naughty:

yes that car is beautiful but we must have bay pics!

also question: have you been to tantalus? I remember having some serious fun on that road, but I heard that after I left they put some kind of speed bumps or some crap there. know anything about it?

Ward parking garage....nice.

as far as discrimination toward Caucasian folk, only "SOME" locals show hatred. imo though, alot of the wealthy Caucasian folk are damn rude :tisk: and since Hawaii is the "Aloha" state....well........"SOME" locals show it in a different way :dblthumb:. Hawaii is very very diverse in culture.

as far as Tantalus goes..... there aren't speed bumps. But police regulate the area quite often, so sliding up there is quite iffy. Just gotta hit it and quit it sorta thing. Otherwise anyone can chill up there from 5 a.m till 10 p.m.

Thanks for the rest of the comments guys! I guess I'll take a shot of the engine bay and put it up. I warn you :poke: it is nasty! When I start on the LS1 swap, everything is going to be stripped out and freshened up a bit. And by that, I mean replaced :woot:

No speed bumps man, just cops. Actually that road has just been repaved top to bottom. Its smooth as glass , just like this guy's paint job. NICE! Hawaii represent!
