Not a big fan of painted interior's unless it's extremely subtle or factory looking. lol what I found especially cheesy is the speaker grill is painted too.

Anyway, the car looks nice otherwise .

Im glad you said that. My front end is the same exact front end as on the enjuku cars.. It was a little expensive, but i really like it, and that makes it well worth it for me. Here are some pics of what it will look like

[IMG][/IMG]http://tkfiles.storage.msn.com...pDh5E

and a picture of my new kitty cooler....

And my ugly front end as of right now...with the lights that everyone loves

When we put the sr20 in it made my car even more jacked up in the front now it looks like im ready to go off roading.......as my buddy ed says..I need coilovers!!!!

Thanks d!ck.... If you really like it go out and try it. It only takes up a little of your time and is real ez to do. Ill help you out if you come across any questions.

Thanks for checking out my car.

nice Black top.
I cant do it all in a week dude.. This car has killed me money wise so far. But it is improving. You have to understand the motor and parts for it was like 4,000.....add 2,000 for the front end....and probably 1,000 in just dumb crap for the car and I have already spent $7,000....The suspension will come, just give me time bro I dont like to think of myself as a ricer, but if you think i am then so be it. I just wanted to get all the most expensive stuff out of the way first....the interior was just a cheep $25 "im board thing"

Why didn't you go ahead and do the glove box too? I feel you on the money thing. I bought my car with the few "performance" mods it has. I decided to spend money on a stereo system first. I just recently bought the JDM S13 seats though, (yes, I wanted some S14 or S15 seats, but I couldn't argue with $90, especially considering how great of shape they were in compared to my old ones. I'll post pics later) Having eibachs and kyb's with shot bushings makes for some interesting things too. I'm still in college, so that doesn't help the money situation. I like the fact that you care about your car enough to try and make it look better even if you don't have the money to do everything you want. As long as you like it, and it doesn't turn out too over the top, aka ricer, then cool. But yeah, do your glove box too.

nice Black top.
So anyone who wants their car to look good is a ricer?

And hatch + S15 front is teh sex. Matter of fact, S13 hatch w/ S15 front looks better than a real S15, IMO.

Oh yeah, and what kind of seat covers are those and where did you get them? I haven't found any that fit anywhere hear that well...

Thanks thomasjamal, you kick a$$!

I dont remember what store i got them from but i do know it was in one of these 3---walmart/advance auto/auto zone......the only thing that sucks is i believe they only make it in red/black. they are like $16 a piece. I think they fit real well and are a great cheep alternative then $200 a seat or more from ebay, or any other seat supplier. I really like the stock s13 seat, I just think the drivers side seat looking all chewed up makes the car look ghetto, and really shows its age. I would hate to update the look of the outside of the car, only to have people look inside and say

Homeslice mentioned me doing the glove box earlier in the thread but im not sure if im going to do that....I guess ill cut out some of that red fabric and put it over the glove box to see how it looks. I was thinking of getting some blaxk fabric for that. It might be a little over kill doing that much red.I also wont be painting the vents or middle console so dont even bother to ask..it ends up looking like total crap...But thanks for showing some love and bringing in some new ideas homeslice ideas are always welcome!!!!

here is a pic to show you what i mean....this is a pic from someone in nico...sorry, im not trying to diss your car.infact your car helped me from making the mistake of doing everything red in the interior, so thanks who ever you are.

Before I bought my S13 I looked at a super clean (cosmetically) Xr4ti with only 88,000 original miles. I took it for a test drive and noticed that during boost the overboost hazard buzzer would go off indicating that it had a broken wastegate actuator. The owner, who knew nothing about cars, kept telling me how fast the car was and that the buzzer had been going off for quite sometime.

Wow, was he right. With the turbo making as much boost as it possibly could that car hauled ***, of course after it warmed up it had a horrible rod knock which forced me to pass on the car.

Cool nonetheless.

Yeah, after what you said I too think if you did the glove box in black it would look better. Too much red would be overkill. You can probably just remove the fabric. It's black underneath like the door panels. Just remove the fabric and clean off the box like you did for the doors. Should look good.

I think I will do that this week homeslice. Something has to be done with that grey tweed crap..It looks really out of place now since everything is red and black...I'll put up pics as soon as it is done to show you how it came out.....

Should i use a black leather, or vinal? or should i just use the same type of fabric i used for the door panels?-----im thinking black leather would look nice..or something like it.

Thats some really good looking work you did on your interior. Props to you Sir.

If it happens to go above -30 imma go out and buy some fabric. You just inspired me to do it. I wonder if suede would be expensive?

thank you very much jiggy !

I would consider this though if your going to go suede. If you leave your windows down by mistake and it rains the suede will be ruined. It is a little expensive as well. But Im sure it would look very nice. I would buy an extra yard or so of fabric just so you can practice molding the suede to the door. The heavier the fabric the harder it is to work wth....If I can help at all with any questions reguarding your project let me [email protected]

Go with the black in vinal its been done here before and looks factory. And despite what some others have said your interior is hot, ricer style color matched interiors (ie: pic you posted) are gaudy but your is subdued and tasteful. Except for the seat covers but like you said good seat covers > ripped tweed seat.

yup very cool car...even for a ford. Lightweight, 2.3 Turbo and rwd. I miss mine, a old man turned it into a accordian. Strange turbo setup though, no bov or intercooler. Still the best $200 car i ever bought.

wow, thank you very much for the props.

Im thinking the black vinal will work out good too. I wish I could see a pic of how it looks, Im sure it looks great though. anything looks better then the tweed.

I bet as a last touch some red race gauges would look kinda cool. The white ones i have in now were really ez to put in, so maybe ill give that a try and see how it goes.

Thanks again for all the kind words.

I think if you don't want to leave the factory plastic showing that you should get the same fabric you used for the doors, but black of course. That way the fabric textures will match. I think if the vinyl matches it like OldmanPurdy says that would also be a good route. Leather is expensive, if it's real.
