I finally got around to downloading these pics off the digital camera and resizing them and uploading them to the internet. They are from the machine shop awhile back, I think december and they are the guts of my KA-T buildup. There will be more to come as soon as the pistons come BACK from JE.

Also, I'm going to be trying to pool as much information about the KA-T as possible and publish it to http://www.ka-t.com which should be appearing in the next few days. So if you have any lists, videos, pictures, links, or general knowledge youi think would be helpful to anyone doing a KA-T project, send it to me at [email protected] or you can reach me on AIM at RickMer2

So w/o further ado, heres the guts of my KA engine:

http://www.geocities.com/nissanfreek/

Theres also some pictures of my 1985 Ford Wagon LTD Rally Car, which is just my biotch of a car, and my workbench because I was so proud when I finally cleaned it off, shouldnt every mans shop have a workbench like this?

Ok, so its going to be http://www.ka-t.org instead of http://www.ka-t.com

Long story dont ask, just look for it, and so far I havent gotten much from anyone. But once it gets going Ill put a topic on here for anyone wanting to contribute.

theres a guy over on freshalloy.com that had a KAT who was running 11.91 on his KAT before he sold it, so its not impossible. Anyway I think KA-t.org is a great idea. when I finally get around to working on mine, I'll give you all the info I can. later

They didnt cut the grooves for the pistons rings deep enough to allow them to fit into the cylinder.

95240, I'd be interested in helping with whatever you needed. I'm going to attempt a custom turbo kit and have been researching ka-t's for a while. Let me know what you want me to do.

seems like a lot of people have had issues with JE pistons not being right when they get them. You're like the 5th person who's had to send somthing back.

Tell me about it. I ordered some a while back when i was gonna do a high compression motor (11.5:1) When i got them they only had 3 valve releifs. So i called them and they proceeded to tell me that nissan doesn't make a 16 valve ka. So I sent them a pic of a cylinder head i had laying around and they told me i was gonna have to send them that head and they wouldn't pay for shipping. That was over a year ago and i still have no pistons or no money. I HATE that company with a passion.

yea, they seem to have a history of that, that's why my buddy swore up and down that he wouldn't let me buy them for my car hehe (this guy owns a machine shop).

I was really happy with my CP pistons. If I did it again I'd more than likely get another set.

Wow, I wish I would have known about this BEFORE I bought them.

Im not going to worry about it right now since the engine is going to sit dormant in the shop because of lack of funds and I am moving soon so, you all know how it goes...

Anyone wanna buy my KA plus injectors and turbo?
