This is a 3 year old clutch that is the same age as the engine and it lasted for a long time. I heard some noise, thought it was the release bearing, but now I really know what it was :bash

heh. here's my grenaded junkyard clutch in my junkyard transmission.i thought it was TOB related too, b/c i lost the ability to disengage the transmission, but still had a good pedal. as i drove it home, i heard something break loose and get caught up in the flywheel and go tumbling around, then a loud bag and the sound of something hitting the ground.

I'll safely assume that some of the fingers on the pressure plate either had somewhere else to go while the others worked extra hard or something else broke off and knocked them the fook out;) .

To those that see the red x and don't know what to do, right click the X and click on show picture. I don't know why it's trippin', but because it's a pic of something from out of my car anything is possible.

Quote »how did you like the new hybrid clutches Dee?[/quote] The clutch itself is not the issue as my clutch man said he will be using the same Kevlar face from the broken clutch. Just think, 3 years and he said I may have only burned 10,000ths of material, so it can be reused. The pressure plate is doing just fine, but the hub center's springs couldn't take those crazy 7000rpm launches with the drag radials; so he's giving me a hub with less, but stronger springs. All in all, I love the kevlar over the brass.
