Friend's car...Fronts fenders are flipped, which I personally think was a bad move... that's why the accepted limt for front wheel width on G50s and Y33s with stock fenders is generally 9.5". The wheels are similar to my old VSXX, but not the same set.. these are 18x10/11. Suspension was cut springs/stock shocks, but now is air with bags over coilover struts.... allows for even more drop, and a more composed ride.

Thanks for the pics, and I agree the front "treatment" leaves an unusual flow to the body lines.

Any numbers on offset or tire size? (I know some will point out how wrong it is, I just want to know for reference, if you don't mind.)

Yea the same people who have never tried anything like it will tell you how unsafe it is and how the car will "terminally understeer" haha

Not a fan of the fender treatment, but pretty cool.

OneTon's looks better.

Tough to argue with physics, unless one is toatlly ignorant of it.

It looks really nice except the fenders. Aren't those wheels kinda sporty for that car though? They look like they belong on a Porsche 911 GT race car.

^ I was thinking that too.

That's why I like OTG's car better.

Those wheels would look more at home on a Z or G.

Still waiting on your explination of it, which you claim to be very simple physics, however provide no proof to back up your misguided and inexperienced claims. Nice try though.

Sorry, tire stretching to that extreme neither looks good, nor is it safe.

What "extreme" are you refering to? Looks are realitive, so you really have no argument.

OK, enough...

If it's not your cup of tea, leave it be.

Remember there was a time when chrome fender trim was all the rage...

I cringe at the thought of damaging that expensive stainless steel exhaust or the low-hanging oil pan. At least you live in California so your roads are in decent shape. Nice wheels.

I definitely prefer Lipton over Nestea.

One Ton- what kinda suspension are you riding on ? I like the way the car is dropped. I got CAL springs to install on my Q45 once I get the 'ish runing.

I have the Cal Custom springs coming to me too, but I will be installing adjustable camber kits for the 300zx, to keep the factory camber settings. This will hamper radical offset & rim width, but my 18 x 8 with the 35mm offset should fit nicely. I may be going to 18 x 9 with a 45mm offset for the rear, with a 275/35/18 or 285/35/18 tire. The 275/40/18's on my vette jost look so meaty. I wish the vette and the Q had the same bolt pattern. The polished thin spokes would look great on the Q.

By the way, NISSAN on the calipers looks so "wrong".

Not too keen on the rolled front lip... but you do what you have to.....

I like the rims!

Damn, I like the whole car!...

Only really bad rice decisions could ruin a Q.... and i haven't seen one yet.

(My rims are so small... i feel .... insignificant )

I personally think he shouldn't have went that far with the front fenders... looks unbalanced now, as they are obviously flipped outwards, while the remainder of the front fender (and the whole rear fenders) are still beveled inwards. not worth doing that imo JUST to get a certain fitment wheel to fit... the right thing to do imo would have been to order a better fitment front wheel that can be fit w/o having to tweak the fenders like that. We'll see what he ultimately decides to do... esp after I make the front camber arms for him

The fitment is 18x10", +11mm f/18x11", +11mm r or so...

about stretched tires being a problem.. i'd like to hear what people's experiences are with stretched setups from which they base these statements. I'm truly curious. Because I personally have experienced problems with stretched tires... but I've also experienced more tire problems with non-stretched applications before, too... so I can speak for both sides with real anecdotes, not conjecture.
