okay here's some pics, there are some big gaps between points where I was taking pictures, but I figured I would post them anyways. Any questions, feel free to ask.

Donor Car

Both cars being properly supported

Auto trans removal

5 speed ready to be unbolted

My tire clearance lol

Rotten donor car and old clutch

Goodbye Flexplate

Pedal removal was time consuming

If all else fails, relax and refer to the writeup

New Clutch

New Pressure Plate

After a lot of "my reasoning versus yours" I got my way and the transmission went in easily. Haha

Big time gap here, transmission all bolted in, wiring done, interior all back together

Do Not jumper the top connector behind the Fuse box. Run the 2 wires off of the clip to the nuetral start switch on your clutch pedal. Much cleaner/factory looking and a lot safer.

This picture got taken by someone when we were sitting taking a break lol

Thats about it. I'll happily respond to any questions or comments you guys have.

yeah it was entirely part of my auto course I am taking in college. All the guys helping out are my classmates, I'm not in any of the pics because I was behind the camera, no one else felt like taking pictures for me.

I'll probably pull the engine, harness, and vlsd out, and then when scrap price goes back up here, I'll just get it crushed, or see if a junkyard wants to pay anything for it.

trying to get to classifieds there buddy?

And no, it's rotten underneath, when we put it on dollies to get it home, we tried jacking it up and the frame lifted, we bent both rockers in and cracked one all down the side, the drivers quarter is all bondo. I think by the ime we got it on the trailer, 1/4 of the floor/frame was on the ground.

Wow, I just realized I should have pulled off the EGR tube that I chiseled off when I put the header on haha. Honestly didnt even think of it when the car was in the air.

yeah, working on our own cars is great. And it's also nice to see how your buddies cars work as a whole. Working on the donated cars sucks. They're all brand new GM's so you basically have to mix something up, for someone else to fix.

I forgot about this thread, but yeah, still looking for that 5 speed stuff...

If got some 5 speed parts that will soon be for sale. Whats the finishing plate you were talking about and what other parts do you need?

Well actually all I need now is the plate around the shifter for the S14. With or without shift boot. I'm gonna make my own boot anyways.

you can buy one for liek 50-60 bux on ebay. brand new, worth it IMO. or you can just reuse the auto shifter piece.

do you have the rubber inner boot? you kinda need that too.

yeah thats coming this spring. Thats what Manitoba will do to you. I'm sure the last few owners werent so nice to the car either. it was supposed to get done last fall, but the guy doing it for me couldnt get it in his shop (too low). He's doing it this spring in his driveway. Out of the 9 cars I have owned so far, only 2 had good floors. My sunfire had for a few months not long ago (it had been undercoated), and my current daily Nissan Hardbody, which is both undercoated and from BC. Any of the others were either rusty, or had been fixed.

I sold the parts car for $180. The buyer was the whiniest ***hole I've ever seen. It had a vlsd and a good KA24DE so I wouldnt drop below $200. He basically started crying because he drove so far to look at it. I just wanted it out of my driveway and dropped the $20. I had a guy interested in only the diff, before the deal was even final the buyer had already sold the diff to the guy who wanted it in the first place (on a local forum I am a regular on). I wasnt happy about this.

Yeah there is a flat screen tv hanging off the roof in the automotive building lounge. There was some environment commercial on the discovery channel and whoever was sitting beside me was messing with my camera and took pics of the tv, and a few of my classmates.
