So the red carpet was worn and a little to much red for me...so I changed it out. 65.00 bucks later and about 1.5 to 2 hrs I had it done! I ended up short cutting the process.

1. Took of door sills and trim.2. Took T Tops off 3. Unbolted Passengers side seat and unpluged the single harness and removed it4 Unlbolted drivers side seat and removed it.

Now I had to unsecure the panels behind the seats to get the carpet free. Also the center console had to unscrewed some to be able to remove the old carpet and push the new carpet up under the console. The hardest part was the passengers side up near the dash. I cut the carpet in the middle to keep from having to remove the dash to get it behind the console. I had enough to tuck and secure the carpet. It worked great. Well here are pics. Let me know if you guys have any questions. Thanks for looking.

I am planning on having the passengers seat re-upholsterd...the drivers side was done already so it looks pretty new...i really like the red and black scheme. it reminds me of the white z31 i had that had the red leather interior. I will break up the red with a few black pieces that I will have custom done but red is pretty cool since it was only in the 90 model z32's.

You should make all the suede pieces black, I think that would look good.

Agreed. With that fur-looking red seude (shoes ) it takes away from what it might become with some nice black material.

Where did you get this carpet at? What fabric is it? Did it come preformed?

I have a 90 2+2 with the same red carpet and it's so much red to look at, what I've found online is 200$ preformed carpet but I'm thinking I'm just going to buy the fabric and do it myself.

Thanks!

Now THAT'S a Zombie thread!

BUT...to answer the new questions, I still have my old white/red NA and although I didn't do the black carpet (nice look!), I did do a lot of other areas to make the red tolerable, even look great IMO.
For the carpet replacement shown you can buy carpet remnants, which it seems is what the OP did years ago- cut out the areas he shows and tuck in the new under the console and mid dash, side sills, seat back area covers, etc.
